The Terrace Podcast Best Players in each position (Rangers dominated)

For context I believe the two picking them are both Hearts fans and they also take performances in previous seasons into account.
Spoilers below for anyone who likes to listen in.

Top 3 in each position were (they split midfield and wingers into Defensive/central midfield and Attacking Midfielders/wingers):

GK: 1st McGregor, 2nd Siegrist, 3rd Lewis
FB: 1st Tavernier, 2nd Barisic, 3rd Taylor
CD: 1st Goldson, 2nd Ajer, 3rd Helander
DM/CM: 1st Davis, 2nd Jack, 3rd Kamara
AM/W: 1st Kent, 2nd Turnbull, 3rd Forrest
FW: 1st Edouard, 2nd Morelos, 3rd Roofe (it came down to a Rock, paper scissors for who came on top)

So depending on Formation their 4-4-2 best XI would be:

GK: McGregor
RB: Tav
CD: Goldson
CD: Ajer
LB: Barisic
RW/AM: Turnbull
CM: Jack
CM: Davis
LW/AM: Kent
ST: Morelos
ST: Edouard

Their 4-3-3 best XI would be:
GK: McGregor
RB: Tav
CD: Goldson
CD: Ajer
LB: Barisic
CM/CDM: Jack
CM/CDM: Davis
CM: Turnbull/Kamara
FW/AM: Kent
ST: Edouard
FW/AM: Morelos/Roofe/Forrest

It's pretty much Rangers 1-11 with the slight debate around who's better between Edouard and Morelos. For what it's worth I also think Morelos is better. Roofe or Hagi for the wide right position and who goes in the midfield 3 out of Kamara, Jack, David and Aribo are the only other points of contention. Ajer is garbage and we're being told to ignore his defensive deficiencies because he is good at going on the occasional daft run forward.

How anyone in their right mind can suggest Ajer was better than Helander last season makes a mockery of it. Also Turnbull missed the first half of the season and rarely completed more than 60 mins when he did play latterly.

Utter farce

The fact Forrest is in there makes it a mockery
Their justification is that it’s not looking solely at this season but instead a list of the best players in Scotland in each position, taking current and previous seasons form into account. Tbf to Forrest his goals+assists in the last couple of seasons are, annoyingly, very good.

Fair enough if that is their criteria. Given that surely Turnbull shouldn't be there?
