Not to my eyes.Maybe not goals but a better player hands down .

If we're taking someone from Motherwell, I'd prefer Allan Campbell.
Maybe people are responding to your comment because he's pish? Couldn't get a start for hibs at TannadiceNot sure why people have decided my comment was a suggestion that we actually sign him
Saw he got on the scoresheet yesterday. I'll tell you something he's as natural a goalscoring midfielder that I've seen coming through up here in a long time.
Gets into goalscoring positions for fun, very composed in front of goal, clean striker of the ball & not afraid to take a dig from distance. Would love us to add this boy to our squad.
Ask any Motherwell fan mate and they will tell you Hastie wasnt their best player. Turnbull was by some distance and most would argue Campbell was 2nd after that.
Not to my eyes.
Can put me firmly in that camp. I don't think McLean is a bad player but he's on a similar level to Arfield who has started the season as a regular off the bench. Turnbull on the other hand is the best goal scoring midfielder in the country who is also good at creating chances for others, he isn't just some set piece specialist who had a lucky year. I just think Turnbull's strengths are perfect for what we need in the midfield. There's also the fact that McLean is 28, turning 29 through the season while Turnbull has just turned 21. This isn't a debate over Kenny McLean on a free or spending 2-3 million on Turnbull, they would likely cost a similar fee.Folk don’t want Kenny McLean but want Turnbull this place is nuts .

That wasn’t what was said at the time , I know several Motherwell fans .
Can’t say I know much about Campbell but I heard they weren’t impressed he was dropped.
If the likes of Greg Docherty and Jordan Jones can be Rangers players, Campbell is more than capable.Allan Campbell is no better than Motherwell. That's his level.
He was never their best player.Jake Hastie was Motherwells best player , That worked well didn’t it !

not really great examples DudeIf the likes of Greg Docherty and Jordan Jones can be Rangers players, Campbell is more than capable.

Jake Hastie has never been Motherwell's best player. He had a few good months after struggling on loan at Alloa.
not really great examples Dude
I know someone on the medical staff at Motherwell and he thinks Campbell is the best prospect to come through Fir Park in years.
My mate who’s a Motherwell fan raves about him. Most exciting talent they’ve had in a long while, he truly believes.
Would Motherwell be interested in taking some of our players who aren’t going to get a game for us anyway? Worth asking the question.
He wasnt shite, he had a good few months as I said. He was nowhere close to being their best player. That’s right he was shite , I must have made up the stink they kicked up because he signed a pre contract with us .
Ie Rangers haterNo. Boyhood Motherwell fan

On a lot of threads mate when it come's to players in Scotland. The snobbery on this thread is something else.

Campbell is the manager's golden boy.
Alan is a bluenose ,factIf we're taking someone from Motherwell, I'd prefer Allan Campbell.
Over a period of a few months after flopping on loan at Alloa.Well that’s not the word from the Motherwell fans I know and he was gaining rave reviews.
I think Campbell is decent but not for a Gerrard team. Not sure about the ‘Golden Boy’ comment either, their fans were up in arms recently when he was dropped.

Aye they rate him highly mate. Turnbull wherever he goes with have a good career if he is over his injury troubles.
A poor mans Greg Docherty.
Utter, utter pish. The Docherty love-in amongst our support confuses the life out of me. Turnbull can play, proved it at a higher level (scoring the amount of goals he did in a poor Motherwell team and in the space of time he did is better than winning a player of the year trophy at Shrewsbury) and at a younger age than Docherty, would be happy with him signingTurnbull is about the same level as Greg Docherty.
Why did our scouting staff sign him then Id he was so horrific ??
My mates been watching them since the early 60s and rates Turnbull as having more potential than the likes of Pettigrew, McCulloch, McFadden etc. at that stage of their careers.

Campbell definitely leans our way, whilst Turnbull is a Well fan.
The problem I see with Turnbull for us is he's very much an attacking mid.
We've already got Roofe, Hagi, Aribo and Kent all fighting for those 3 (sometimes 2) positions.
I'd be reluctant to pay big money for someone who won't start.
Why? It shows we're happy to sign players who are of a far poorer quality than Campbell.Citing both Jordan Jones and Greg Docherty isn't exactly the best example though, is it?

Think you misunderstand. Robinson fucking loves him. Was saying last night (or maybe the night before cant remember when they played) he wants a team of 11 Allan Campbells after being fed up by the shite served by the likes of Hastie.
Aye, we've never signed any dross recently.
See: Grezda, Eros. Sadiq, Umar. Jones, Jordan. Lafferty, Kyle. Ejaria, Ovie.
Docherty was going to be a superstar and the best young midfielder in Scotland apparently when we signed him so it’s not utter pish .
Provided they want to go to Motherwell.McCrorie & Docherty and £1m would get him.
I said he was a better goal scoring midfielder than anyone in Scotland not the best midfielder overall. He's still one of the best anywayHe’s a better player than Aribo,Hagi, McGregor ??
I was more thinking he would play with Jack or Kamara in the middle of the park in certain games when 2 defensive minded players arent needed.
