Mohamed Elyounoussi vows to 'DESTROY' Rangers as Celtic star sends emphatic derby warning
The on-loan winger struggled at Hampden but is confident his side can batter Rangers at Celtic Park
Mohamed Elyounoussi insists Celtic will DESTROY Rangers in the crunch New Year Old Firm derby.
The Norwegian winger admits he flopped in last Sunday’s Betfred Cup Final win over Steven Gerrard’s side. But the on-loan Southampton star, 25, insists it will be a different story when they meet again at Parkhead just before the winter break.
Elyounoussi, who returned from injury at Hampden only to be hooked at half-time, said: “When we meet them again we’ll destroy them.
“There are more titles to win this season so we need to refocus.
“Rangers were strong in the final and they were on the front foot. We grew into it in the second half.
“But it wasn’t my best game. I hadn’t touched the ball for weeks.
“I wasn’t satisfied with my performance and I’ll try to be fitter for the Old Firm league game.”
Elyounoussi was hooked at half time in the Hampden win, being replaced by Mikey Johnston and was also left out of the trip to face Cluj
