Thoughts on tonight

3 points was all that mattered.
We lacked midfielders getting into box and supporting Defoe.
Ideal game for Greg Stewart if he was fit.

It was a hard game to sit and watch, St mirren had a game plan and stuck to it well, the ref was as good as usual and the time wasting was frustrating, we need another option up front to help defoe and a attacking minded midfielder to run into the box, but we got the 3 points and no injuries, job done #55

A win is a win, and whist 3 pts in the bag is obviously to be welcomed, if I am honest this was not the performance of a title-winning side. There is still a lot of hard slogging ahead if we are to bring 55 home, and we can't expect to rely every week on churning out dull 1-0 victories to fend off the yahoos . .

It goes without saying that SG has done a superb job in getting us into the position we are in. But yesterdays game (there have ben others) exposed some shortcomings in the team that need to be addressed, in particular how reliant we are on Morelos' goal threat to open things up and put opponents under pressure.

Winning ugly, it's the mark of champions.
This is exactly the type of game where we would have shipped 2 points in recent seasons

Exactly, remember Halliday getting sent off for raising his arms in the centre circle, they said it could have incited a riot (don't laugh).

The rug has to be cited, if that Killie supporter had thrown something we'd never hear the end of it.
The Halliday sending off was a disgrace!
Unfortunately the club at that time were all over the shop and not in a position to fight it!
The club must start biting back on these situations now!
