Threads opening onto page 2

I open a thread in a new tab, and it opens on the first post of page 2.

No but a couple of times I have replied to say a post on page one of four and the response appears to have gone onto page two. Not sure if it actually has or if it has for some reason navigated me to page two. Will need to keep my eye open.

Makes sense, either I'm going mental and not remembering opening threads, but I'm sure it's done it on a couple of new threads.

I'll keep an eye on it.

I've had it a couple of times, but figured it automatically went to the first unread post?
