Tiger Shaw book reviewed

Great article. Before my time but my father ( who played senior for 16years) used to speak of him in glowing terms.

A very good review for a very good book about a truly great Ranger.

My first Rangers hero and team. Can still name it 73 yrs later, Brown, Young and Shaw, McColl, Woodburn and Cox, Waddell,Gillick, Thornton, Finlay and Duncanson. Had the privileged to take HMS Hermione on a visit to Ibrox in 1970. Ended up in the manager’s office meeting and listening to two of my heroes, Waddell and Thornton. Then John Grieg invited us across to the Albion to watch training. A few English men in the team became Bears that day. No smart phones so no records, just memories.

Only just properly read article and when the league title wins are mentioned Matthew has excluded the war championships.
