So what's different about this and the other dozens of times they've been guilty? They'll do their usual, lawyer up and the SFA will do their usual and lose the rule book -or arrange a hearing for 2036 and then forget about it
 
It's an embarrassment for them and if they had any decency theyd repudiate his comments and fire him.
But I really don't think what a guy says on a club tv channel should be a matter for the Compliance Officer
On the list of useful things she could look into this is pretty near the bottom of the list
 
Boyd has 'form' for this over many years. I am amazed he was not called out by the SFA or the referee's association for similar comments made about Scottish referees in the recent documentary put out on You Tube - 'Anyone But Celtic'. The comments made by Boyd, John Fallon and the guy who presented the film were/are actionable. The documentary was filmed inside Celtic Park and premiered there too so it is reasonable to assume that the Board of Celtic FC were happy with the content to have given such support. Why have the SFA allowed this to go unchallenged?

Not even lost a Scottish game and that’s the first ref in the firing line. A warning to other refs for the season ahead. The mhedia playing their part here also. The message is out early!

3 games gone for these mhanks and they have one yellow against our six. They benefit from a much lower card per foul percentage than anyone in the league. This is the stat that is very telling, and shows a blatant difference in refereeing standards or bias. Unless we are to believe that Celtic foul differently from all the rest.

They are almost untouchable on the park and yet they are heading for a meltdown of biblical proportions.
 
What on earth could their 'robust' response be?

If anything they should distance themselves from the madman and hang shi him.

Imagine having Tom Boyd as your club's ambassador? Rid neck or what. A truly classless club who thrive off their own paranoia.

Remember reading a story on here about Tom Boyd being spotted in a restaurant in Glasgow with his family, and him pulling a bottle of ginger out his bag in the restaurant and not buying any drinks. I suppose he is a good ambassador for Celtic, and embodies their average supporter well.
 
What's to investigate?

Give him his warning and move on.

We know the SFA don't have the bottle for anything else.
 
Somebody better take good care of that one VHS video home made recording or the Compliant Officer will never be able to get the evidence again from anybody’s mobile, or youtube, or on a CTV rerun.

Nope, can’t be too careful looking after evidence in this day and age.

They’re only hurting themselves because this ‘always cheated never defeated’ outlook is exactly why they’ll never get into the English leagues and are destined to rot here forever with only us for company.

If you think their rampant paranoia is bad here what do you think it would be like if they played in England of all places? They’d bring an unprecedented level of hatred and poison to the game, and the English are well aware of that.
 
And to think that the rat faced, pish stained arsehole got picked for Scotland before Davie Robertson. Nae wonder Robertson told them where to go

Boyd should be punished by both his club (no laughing at the back) and the SPFL/SFA but he won't be
 
Has anyone actually seen the penalty incident and has the recording of Boyd's rant made it online? I haven't seen either. Wouldn't it be a bit odd if neither has surfaced?
 
They should forget the charges and instead slaughter them in the press, point out threats to referees and the actual statistics. Make them look like the paranoid fannies they are.

Well, put it this way, 29th and 30th December 2018, Beaton had a good game. Until 2 days later and he should have sent of Morelos.........this that and the next thing (No mention of McGregor's great save)

There has since been court action relating to this.

Have a look on Twitter - the amount of imbeciles defending Boyd.

If they played down there VAR would be bigoted & Sectarian against them in their minds.
 
Boyd was in front of me at Universal studios while we were waiting to go on go-karts.

This was the type of go-karts suitable for the young as they had rails so the cars wouldn’t go off the track.

I had the wee man who was only 3 at the time and was waiting in the queue and got talking to Boyd, he was a total fanny and when he found out I was a bear cut off all conversation.

Anyway wee man went in to his go kart and Boyd was directly in front of him, we went round the track and as we came to the end the cars came to a stop Boyd was getting out his car as the wee man went into the back of his at full pelt causing Boyd to fall back into car, he looked pissed off and was scowling like %^*& as I gave the wee man a high five.

Cool story….
 
How irresponsible is Boyd with these comments. Is this not the same referee that had to have his family moved out of their home and then get a police escort to his work due to Celtic losing an old firm game. It's unbelievable that they believe there's a referee conspiracy especially when you consider they've won 9 trophies out of 9,now if that's a referee conspiracy to prevent Celtic winning they are absolutely hopeless.
