It's a Danish thing. Jan Molby used to sound like the cast of Brookside.
My favourite though was our German hero, Big Jorg saying he scored a goal with his heid

I remember big Jorg getting interviewed on the radio one day after we'd won a match and at the end the interviewer thanked him and the big man's reply was "nae bother" They crossed back to the main studio and they could barely speak for laughing. It was comedy gold.
