And the gaffer might do it, both have had 90 minutes in the past 8 days. Personally i think it will be flanno but wouldn't be surprised at Patterson.
Need someone who can get up and down at pace. Patterson for me

Done well til the end mate
For me, its the perfect opportunity to come on and shine. Which I believe he will do.Will be interesting to see if SG agrees with you
Everyone has their own opinion, I think the boy is a bit away from being a regular but also think he has the makings of a top playerFor me, its the perfect opportunity to come on and shine. Which I believe he will do.
Because if he makes a mistake and costs us the game could destroy him, or could be the makings of himHis baptism of fire needs to come at some point, why not tomorrow?
Absolutely agree with this. Flannigan is a traditional right back - best defender in the team. If we keep a clean sheet tomorrow we will probably win the game.Flannigan is our best choice and probably the best tackler on a one to one situation
We need experience tomorrow. His baptism of fire needs to come at some point, why not tomorrow?
Flanagan will 100% start the game.
That’s why your not the Rangers manager.Let's be positive and set the tone. What a statement it would be (if it isnt working change at ht).
Agree but how many have seen him have to actually defend a lot. I've been to the home Euro games and he hasn't had to defend much then either. Outstanding attacking though! He looks a better attacking option than Flanagan based on his display in Dubai and v Stranraer.
By which time it’ll be, what?Let's be positive and set the tone. What a statement it would be (if it isnt working change at ht).
That may well be true but it’s fraught with danger, a danger that may be realised when it’s too late.I agree. More suited to us than Flanagan
What’s silly about it?What an original post.
Stop being silly.
At right back?Being torn a new arsehole (flanagan already has).
Don’t know about the first part but the second part is correct.Hearts put a 16 year old boy in who bossed the 'best midfielder in Scotland' and destroyed a team that hadn't lost in 68 straight games. Meanwhile we are afraid to play good young players because of the pressure to win.
I haven’t seen near enough of Patterson to say if he should play ahead of Flanagan and I’d guess that’s probably true of the majority of posters on this thread including those advocating playing him. What I do know is if he is played, and we lose the game due to something he did wrong, SG will be getting ripped apart, probably from the same people advocating starting him.
There will be a time and place to play him. It’s not Tynecastle where a defeat could ultimately cost us the league the way things are panning out.
Funnily enough, similar has been said about Tavernier. He's been caught between the ch's and the midfield on a regular basis. If you genuinely believe that he is the best option then lets just leave it at that .
