Tuesdays football

Teams like Senegal with their pace and athleticism are going to be extremely dangerous next summer with the tough conditions in the US and Mexico.

Good side, thought it was a dodgy match to take to be honest as they’d give it their all and our lot wouldn’t.

Needs Pickford, Guehi to start every game.
And dare I say it Henderson, Rice, Bellingham is his midfield
Guehi is another headache for Tuchel.

He needs to make the difficult decision and let the guys down now, if they hit form next season ok, include the inform players.

Gibs-white and Gordon I don’t think their international quality players. Great prem players.
Skelly hasn’t done enough for me
Chalobah after coming back to Chelsea, his from dropped. Was amazing at Palace
Walker is past it.

I’ve got individual concerns about a lot especiallly the likes of Gallagher, Rice etc but my opinions because I can’t go them rather than quality.

He has played well as have Senegal.
He has dominated Saka.
Imagine after this game he is premier league bound as price will ha e gone through the roof.
Senegal take the lead which they deserve.
Talksport etc be good if England lose tonight.
Will Jason cundy do his monologue tonight

Quite enjoyed that tonight. I thought Senegal would be tough, a different style from the slow European build up. While England are undoubtedly top tier euro side, all euro football is similar styles at the top level.
Senegal were a bit more physical, not afraid to miss midfield but even when playing through, did so at pace.

England will romp qualifying as usual, but Teuchel will need to sort quite a bit out by next summer.

A good news story for tonight -

Asian WC qualifying - Palestine vs Oman - Oman need a point to finish 4th and make it to the playoffs. Plasticine need to win to finish 4th at Oman's expense.

Palestine go 1 up after 49 mins.
Oman down to 10 men after 73mins
Oman snatch an equaliser with a 97thn minute penalty.

GIRFUY :))

Its quite amusing that the talk is over.Kane being an issue
Gives his all, scores goals

England have bigger issues
Bellingham is a shadow of the player he was 12-18 months ago
Walker done, henderson done etc
Plethora lf players back slapped as being world class as they do well in the EPL - but this season gone showed its not quite the peak just now

About the disallowed goal: you could argue that the arm movement was deliberate but not an obvious error so goal should have stood. I like that woman ref though, seen her before and is generally good. Great win for Senegal.

England have some decent players no doubt, but just because they do well against Ipswich and Brentford, doesn’t mean they are generational talents.

A squad full of guys who are all ok doesn’t mean you have a great squad.

Guys like Michael Carrick and Steve McManaman hardly ever got in England’s team when I was younger but would be immediate starters in this team.

The Premier League is also miles worse than it was 20 years ago when England had a genuine 7-8 world class players who could walk in to most club teams, yet still couldn’t win anything internationally.

A dodgy 97th minute penalty sees Oman draw 1-1 with Palestine. Oman overtake Palestine into 4th in the group, a WC sport and no place for Piss stain who finish 5th. Glorious

Fair points from Keane there regarding lacking standards from England and on about Ronaldo on Sunday. @prenzlauerbear you’d have agree with him there pal. Funny comp the nations league but knew what he meant. Not many sides have someone with Ronaldo’s standards and crazy will to win mind, be his biggest buzz by a country mile now playing for Portugal, he has got his eyes on that World Cup still.

Oh, didn’t see that, mate. But playing for Portugal means everything to him. There are few other players with that same kind of commitment on the international stage.

I think a Nations League win could be huge for a country like England in terms of getting them over the line mentally. It feels like it’s perceived way more seriously on the continent than it is there still.

Didn’t realise the England were playing last night as I’m in Spain on holiday, a quick scan of Facebook this morning and loads of my pals laughing about the score , had a look at the highlights & had a chuckle about it myself !!!
Let’s all laugh at the England indeed

Noticed from the 70th minute on, only white England player on the pitch was the goalkeeper.
Would that be the first time that England had a full outfield of Black players?
Doesnt bother me in the slightest btw, just never noticed before if it has happened

Senegal showed PSG levels of pressing and commitment last night, impressive stuff.

Quite surprising the comments regarding Senegal on here - pretty dismissive, even aside from that last night it’s well known they aren’t daft and have plenty of players at the top level. Yet England are apparently arrogant!

I get that it’s just a unique situation with him, he’s basically still playing to try and win the World Cup ain’t he and that on Sunday is a very rare moment where all eyes are on him - doesn’t happen now with being in Saudi, it’s clearly quite hard for him to accept that he’s going to have retire soon.

We couldn’t even win it could we this last time with being in League B - many folk wouldn’t know that given the confusion and how many just have no time for this Nations League. I know what you mean though, if you do win it you’ve more than likely overcame two strong nations in a short space of time, Portugal doing Germany on their own soil and then Spain a few days later will only be positive for them.

2 players who need an attacking manager in charge. Tuchel was the wrong choice, it should’ve been Howe imo.

Never mind England, the result of the night was Northern Ireland beating Iceland with another Isaac Price special!! Said at the time we should have made a serious attempt to sign him in January when he was being sold by Liege, not sure what WBA paid for him but he's going to turn out to be a very good player.
