Udinese director Pierpaolo Marino – whose club shares owners with Watford – said tonight that “the EPL is about to announce its season is over.”

Im not sure how any league can really make a decision until we have a realistic idea of how long this is going to go on for or when restrictions will start to be lifted. A lot can change in the next few months.

With the tragedy that Liverpool have suffered in the world of football and their trophy haul over their history, I'd be surprised if they "celebrated" being given a title that they never officially won.

Liverpool is one thing, who gets relegated ? There are three teams on the same points in the third relegation spot. I don’t think there will be an EPL season ending with current positions declaration.

Massive if true, Belgium are tiny in comparison. What happens to the bottom 3? EFL need to release a simultaneous announcement. Is it bottom 2 and top 2? Does this work the same with the Conference leaders? Opens up a can of legal worms with relegated teams and also those teams who could still finish top 6 for playoffs?

If one of the Big 5 Associations/Leagues breaks ranks with UEFA then there will be shit flying all roads. A real cat amongst the pigeons.

Should be quite entertaining.

The big 5 will not doubt be looking at this ( away from ) Uefa and looking at how they can benefit.

to be fair we all should. Now in the next 3 months is a real possibilityfor change but we need to cease it.

The reality is why do we neee Uefa. Get them to %^*& have reps from every league and manage football ourselves

It’s all speculation at present. There are a significant number of unknown variables that need to be factored in. Contracts are extremely complex and will contain a number f clauses that could have significant financial penalties
A lot of clubs will have factored in future payments to their budgets and will already be losing a lot of match day revenues

We need concrete answers but at the current time, there are a lot more important things happening we need to worry about.

Even if they handed Liverpool the title, there is absolutely no chance they are relegating on current standings.

As you say, it would mean relegating Bournemouth on goal difference and costing them hundreds of millions in the process. Quite simply isn’t going to happen.

Exactly...why cancel it now when uefa have set deadlines for later on in the summer

Talksport saying Epl are still ploughing ahead with plan to play the games in June behind closed doors and at advanced stage. Anything to avoid paying broadcasters back.

I said it in a post about a week back. The collective revenue loss to the three relegated teams is £300m for one season. It will be a very interesting court case.
