I have made my thoughts abundantly clear on these 'fans'. But I do find it somewhat disturbing that the younger guy is getting done with assault for throwing a bottle which didn't even hit anyone. Assault is a serious, serious charge to have on your record. By his words and actions he clearly had a momentary fit of rage at someone who was flagrantly hurting his club and made a split second decision, not that I'm defending the throwing of the bottle I might add. But instantly he's apologised, admitted the stupidity and harmfulness of his actions and has shown nothing but remorse. I don't think an assault charge is necessary.
