USA - not going to the World Cup

First time since 1986. FIFA and the US TV networks must be raging.

They finished 5th in their group after losing 2-1 to Trinidad & Tobago last night, with other results (Panama and Honduras both winning) conspiring against them.

Referee gave Panama a winning goal against Costa Rica which clearly had not crossed the line otherwise USA would be in play off or qualified. Expect protests from USA.

At the launch of Fox Sports coverage last month, they mentioned that they would market Mexico as their 2nd team... I guess that's now changed.

The time zone difference was going to impact viewing figures from 2014 but this is a disaster. Fox will have been glad to have made agreements with their two main sponsors before this debacle.

Fox paid $450-500 million for the 2018 + 2022 tournaments.

Feel sorry for Pulisic as he's a terrific talent, the rest of them are a joke. Really not a difficult qualifying group at all yet they still failed miserably.
