That's exactly what I think,The Scottish government started an inquiry into historic child abuse in Scotland and they are not including religion or sporting organisations that must set alarm bells ringing about curruption and cover ups.

One of the players in that photo was a suicide after admitting to child abuse.

They threw him(Torbett) out without notifying the police then brought him back knowing full well he was a child abuser.

They attemped another cover up in 1991 for crimes committed by Frank Cairney insisting Cairney would be removed for their silence on the matter


Astonishingly history then repeats itself when a few years later when Tommy Burns tried to bring his "pal" Cairney back to sellikfitbawklub.
This move was vetoed by then owner Fergus McCann due to Cairneys unsavoury past.....a queer eye for a weird guy you might say

I can't go into a lot of details, but I once worked with a woman whose son played with CBC, I'm not sure if he went on to playfor Celtic youths but he tried to commit suicide when Tommy Burns died, the boy would have been about late teens when he attempted this. He was luckily found by his dad but he went into total shutdown and became a recluse. I've not seen this woman in years now but a terrible story and now it makes me wonder why he did it, was there another reason

Why does this McGuire guy keep going public. He appears to be constantly on Radio Scotland and the Sunday Mail. On each occasion he tends to threaten the filth that he will take cases to court and practicaly begs them to settle out of court. I just wish he would get the cases to court. I have real concern that he is not confident of winning in court and is hoping for an out of court settlement. These cases can be very expensive (particularly as the scum will use the best legal minds available) and it could be that his bosses at Thompson's are not willing to take the risk. No win no fee companies are notorious for this. Hope I am wrong but looks like this may be the situation.

He continues to play to the public gallery but so far Celtic haven't blinked.

They're almost staring him down as if, " Do your worst - you can't beat us. "

Paddy seems to bark a lot, I wish he'd start biting.

I might be alone but I doubt they’ll end up paying anything to anyone. They are the new establishment club and the socialists and secessionists will ensure there’s a judicial cover up.
The only hope the poor victims have is there being a case held in the USA. If that happens then they’re toast otherwise they’ll get off Scot fee.

The terrifying aspect of this scandal has been that almost all involved in Scottish football or the media have known that the Piggery had been an ever revolving door for paedos for decades to walk in and out without an eyebrow raised. They all knew what went on, from the Piggery Board downwards to Managers, players and supporters. These victims will never receive true justice as long as the Piggery refuses to accept the pivotal role they played in allowing the abuse to continue.

Yes but we are trying them and finding them guilty, AKA. Geroge Pell, so they need to send them to some country that has no moral compass or protection for young kids with a corrupt government that's in bed with the Catholics who are in control of every fabric of the nation and are protected, Scotland springs to mind.
 
I can't get my head around the fact that Celtic fans are not up in arms about their club, and what went on. Surely it's time these victims had the full backing of all fair minded people, and were at the very least given some financial compensation and a full public apology.
These crimes go a lot further than football rivalry, and watching Celtic trying to squirm out of their responsibility to the victims is disgraceful.
My fear is that this scandal goes a lot further than any of us can imagine.

They seem to have a mental block on it, they just refuse to acknowledge it and the staggering hypocrisy is they will bring up other cases as if they are squeaky clean when they are probably the worst in cases of a paedophile ring in European Football.

If this was Rangers, the SMSM would have our name blackened all over Europe, sponsors wouldn't touch us, instead they are trying to keep Celtics name clean and are complicit in this cover up, Never take morality lessons off a Cameron or Keevins, they are as rotten as the rest.

when Cairnney was under suspicion it was Burns who stated that everyone at sellikfitbawklub backed him "to a man" .... this was later withdrawn by CFC

I expect Burns's name will crop up repeatedly during any forthcoming case as he was up to his neck in covering for his pal Cairney

Dead or not.... this lady's front bottom needs shamed with the rest of them IMO

I don't think he is interested in achieving any justice.... only in for the money which probably explains why he is so eager for those rancid cunts to settle out of court.... but.......
That would be an admission of guilt and they don't seem to keen to go down that road

which would suggest that they don't have a strong case against them? As I say, I know some of them who are VERY, VERY confident that nothing will happen here.

When I read those comments yesterday about being 6 months away from serving papers I knew then something was up, you never show your hand, this guy has!

Yes, it's strange, RC's are usually well organised when they feel they are persecuted. Forming support groups, petitions, demonstrations, contacting politicians, securing faith education, defending faith education, rerouting Orange parades, raising funds and so on.

But not when it comes to sex abuse at Celtic.

I’ve posted before, I’m not sure they’ll get done for the abuse, that wee letter saying they’re a separate entity, might just be legal enough to save them.
However, their covering up of the matter cannot be justified in any separate entity or contract defence.
This can only be a guilty verdict and a Perverting the Course of Justice offence, and maybe more.

They will be watching the progress of the Crewe case very closely you can be sure. The whole 'separate entity' thing is a route Crewe have chosen to go down as well.
