Watford sack Ranieri

As is said, you cannot make a silk purse out of a sow's ear !

Many managerial sackings need to feature the club ownership and their input or lack of !

Must be time for John Barnes to be given a chance of managing his old club.

He‘s never had a fair chance to prove himself at a proper footballing club.

The post match interview Ranieri gave after the weekend fixture had “getting the bullet” written all over it. :))

I think he should get another shot at the piggery :)

The PL/FIFA/UEFA or whoever should put an end to the constant managerial changes and put minimum terms or restrictions into place, kinda like they do for footballers not being able to play for more than 2 clubs in a calendar year.
Why?

An incredibly average manager with the biggest league triumph in football history.

He should retire but he'll end up at some other Foreign club in 2 months time.
Give him the budget of either Manchester clubs and he will succeed.

He had an outrageous budget at Chelsea and was pretty pish really
He won with Leicester.

What was he expected to do at Watford where the clock starts ticking as soon as you are in the door.

A no win situation for him with that mess of a club.

Give him MC's budget and he will build a successful team.

He did win with Leicester it was amazing but he had money with Chelsea and it was a bit of a stumbling mess.

At Watford, take more points than he has against sides like Newcastle and Norwich, they have got progressively worse since he arrived.

Watford should be looking for a young, progressive thinking manager like Brighton did with Potter, but because of the money at stake if they get relegated, they'll probably go for a retread. Maybe the retread can save them this season, but they'll not progress beyond spinning their wheels year after year.

Probably better for Ranieri to retire now with his payout. Like Mourinho, his reputation will only diminish further with every new failure. He's 70, and rich, time to see out later life with a bit of peace and quiet.

It’s too late for that strategy now. What progressive manager will go to work with that board?

That's also twice now he's been hired and fired within the same season. Just as well he's made a mint out of all these pay offs as his pride must be in tatters.

I was in Lanzarote with my best mate when he got the job, looked at the fixtures and said he’d be gone in 7. Ole kept him in a job for a bit longer though.

Wafford should save time and interview for the manager after next now too. They’ll be needing him by may anyway.

Hodgson could probably keep them up won’t play the nicest football but should be able to get results.

Keep them up and leave in the summer

Too much Elton John interference, he’s constantly telling the manager who to pull off at half time.

Make the call, Watford.

You know it makes sense.

Really should bring in a rule that you can't change managers during a season. Clubs like Watford take the piss how many mangers they go through.

Be has well giving mangers a 6 month contract then getting Allardyce in for the 2nd half of the season.

Ex Germany boss Joachim Löw is favourite for the vacant Watford job. Chairman Elton John asked fans “are you ready, are you ready for Löw”

Who was the last manager that was appointed from a lower league club to the premier league? I mean surely to %^*& clubs like Watford would be better going after a guy in the Championship who is up and coming rather than looking to the likes of Steve Bruce or Big Sam.

I despise nothing clubs like Watford and Norwich
quite happy to go up and down like a whores knickers for the parachute payment. No ambition whatsoever.

Possibly one of the worst appointments in EPL history. He only got it because he's an old friend of the Pozzo's.

Since winning the league, he has a winning rate of 19% across spells at Leicester, Fulham and Watford. Lost 33 of 53 league games.

Hodgson on way to meet Watford officials.
Pointless appointment all round.
Would love to see them slip down the divisions.

Hodgson is a mental appointment. He’s 74 ffs. I honestly think there should be a mandatory cut off age for management because it surely can’t be good for his health.
