We're going 3 times away

Hopefully won't make a bit of difference, but if things stay as they are, by my reckoning we are going 3 times away to one of the top 6 this season. By the time the split comes, we'll have been to Sharkhead, Pittodrie, Easter Road and Spaghettihad twice already. So we'll have to go a third time to someone....
Don’t go looking for problems mate.;)

Scenario:-
Unbeaten until last game of season. Draw or win means 0 on the lost column Scum get second and a place in the CL route. Lose and Molestic miss out on the second CL place.

What say you?

We'll have the exact reverse of these fixtures next season though, it just flips year on year.
The anomalies arise when the top 6 is different from the previous season.
Rangers have been disadvantaged significantly more times than any other club.
If Scottish football persists with a split, then a 14 team SPL could resolve the inequity in several ways.
Introduce the split after 26 games(having played each team twice)then implement a 6-8, 8-6 or 7-7 split. The 6-8 split would probably most suitable for the top half, giving them a 36 game season a d the bottom half a 40 game season.
This has already been covered on here several times since the introduction of the split.
The split is ridiculous, but there are better options for implementing it, than the current one.

May not seem staunch but lose. Them losing out on opportunity of CL qualification whilst we have chance of securing the 40M jackpot sets them back massively whilst we take massive leaps ahead of them. That is more important than a zero loss season IMO

Imho the 1st and 3rd set of fixtures were set up to be particularly difficult.
They’ve stacked everything possible in their favour all season. The fact they can stack one thing in their favour shows the game needs gutted. The amount they stack and manipulate is outright cheating.

As usual, the league fixtures are always stacked against us at the start of the season & the Christmas period we mostly play the top six teams away during these periods , & the filth normally get the bottom six clubs at home & maybe one of the top six put in to make it look balanced , like this year after Wednesday we have played all the top six from last year away from home before the split they haven't plus throw in that we have to play livi this year again away from home twice before the split , & you try & tell me it's not rigged, aye right , that pesky computer that does the fixture list always seems to be more kinder to them , I wonder how that is ?

Celtic will be the same so no point thinking about it

Livingston will play rangers and Celtic 3 times each at home

Just as well it'll be over by then because can you imagine if we were neck and neck with that lot going into it and they were given that advantage? I've never liked the split. It adds nothing to the game and when you get this kind of likely scenario then all its faults are laid bare. It's typical SPFL though.
Agree why not arrange the last set of fixtures based on previous season placings and it would result in almost the same games being played give or take the odd curveball which looks like Livi this year - but no talk of advantage Or teams losing out on £ due to not getting two home games against a big team.

Wrong.

Livingston will get a 3rd trip to Parkhead after the split.

If the table remains the same, Celtic's post split games will be

Home: Dundee Utd, Livingston
Away: Rangers, Aberdeen, Hibs.

Celtic have only two home games after split, only Dundee United is certain.
They have away games due against the other four.
Livingston are the obvious one to send to Parkhead for a third time and we will end up at Livi for a third time.

It’s a fucking joke of a system.

Anyone who makes the top 6 will be playing each other four times by the end of the season, only the authorities in Scotland could devise a system that ends up with it being 3 home and 1 away, and vice versa for teams.

Rangers need to once again call out the charlatan and cheats running the game. Concentrate on the football at the moment, do it at the end of the season.

Add in the Hibs game being moved, and our first game against that mob being 'placed' as late as possible. Its blatant fixture manipulation, in other words cheating.

Is an 18 team league with playing each home and away just too sensible?

Or if we insist in 4x OF games then get back to 10 team league with home and away twice.

The split is a shocking system

4 Rangers/Celtic games is what sells the tv deal so any increased league would need to still have the 4 games. Think the chat was 14 team league, split after 26 games and then have an extra 12.

The issue is, as it stands all spl clubs are guaranteed 3 home games against Rangers/Celtic (2 vs us/1 vs them or visa versa).

Literally none of the diddy clubs would vote to potentially miss out on at least one guaranteed away end sell out.

We had Livingston twice at home last season
Has the past two years not had us up at sheepland on the opening day of the past two seasons .
In terms of scheduling we were at Aberdeen twice on the opening day in the past 3 season but as posted above we were due to visit Aberdeen twice pre split next season it will be twice at Ibrox

the split has to be one of the most pointless, stupid fucking gimmicks ever dreamt up by the powers-that-be in a pathetic attempt to drum up interest in a dead donkey of a league.

No sponsor. No direction. No clue.

This seems to happen to us fairly often.
Does it ever happen to Filth FC?
We have had it 8 times until 2011/12

Dundee 2000/01
Dunfermline 2001/02
Dundee United 2003/04 & 2009/10
Aberdeen 2004/05
Hibs 2006/07 & 2008/09
St Johnstone 2011/12

As for them 3 times

Kilmarnock 2011/12
Motherwell 2012/13
Ross County 2012/13
