What’s going to be an adequate season for us now ?

With the league gone

The Scottish cup and a bit longer in Europe would be nice
But I’m looking for a bit more consistency away from home and going on a good run in the league to give us a springboard for next season
Do you think that end of season form carries across to the next season?
I don't.
I think that it may give the fans a feel good factor if the season is ended strongly but I doubt if it factors into the squad, with folks coming and going over that period etc.
More likely is the effort put in in the close season that will make the difference to the team.

1. Close the gap to something respectable
2. Europa quarters
3. Win the Scottish Cup
4. Developing Rice and Curtis
5. Win the remaining Old Firms
6. Improve our domestic away record

I don't think adequate is achievable quite frankly. Maybe salvage a degree of a basis upon which to build next season?

Win as many games as possible go on a long run or people will just naturally drift away

Its alright saying you have to support a team through the good times and bad times, but I think we've been through more than enough bad times lately

a decent run in the scottish cup

a decent run in europe

adapting to away games

A good deep run in Europe and seeing a vast improvement domestically especially away and getting injured players back to strengthen the squad.

Serious question..

How can you have the expectation of winning the Scottish cup.

Celtics squad is far superior to ours right now, were getting better and could still beat them but I don't think expecting it to happen is realistic
Look at the last 2 games. We are more than able to compete with them. It’s an expectation because we’ve left ourselves with the SC as our only realistic opportunity of a trophy.

All of the above as stated.
We have to us e the remaining games to assess the fitness of Danilo, Sterling and Cortes. Harsh as it is if they can't remain fit they are no use to us.

Reason i wanted Celtic in cup at home. At Hampden something always goes wrong, win cup and close gap end season with as much momentum as possible as I think next season with a couple of quality signings we will in a good position.

Improve our away form (wont be hard)
Qf maybe semi Europa League but not the end of the world.
Scottish Cup.

Unless we win the Europa League then the season has been a failure. There's not really any other way to dress it up sadly.

Win the Scottish Cup and the Europa League and close the gap in the league.

But really just continue to develop the players who are showing really good levels of improvement already. I think we’re in the right path and the results will follow as players improve.

Improve the young players we have and identify reinforcements for the Summer.

We need to mount a title challenge next season.
We need to win the title next season.

Let's not settle for "mounting a challenge."

The standards that make Rangers Rangers have to be upheld.

I see a lot of people stating adequate as being “win Scottish Cup and a good run in Europe”
That sounds like the “best case” scenario though as opposed to adequate?
I’d say “adequate” is getting past the round of 16 in Europe and having a “deep” run in the Scottish Cup.
It’s all about opinion of course but I think our squad is still short of what it takes to beat the tramps on a regular basis.
We need a regular run of domestic away wins to be considered as adequate.
On the positive side, Hagi, Diomande, Cerny, Igamane and Raskin’s form have in recent weeks been really good.
We need 1 other player (left wing) to turn our “front 6” into a force to be considered with.
We keep trying various options like Bajrami, Yilmaz (even Hagi) on the left but they are not the answer.
In my opinion our defence needs more work done to it. Our weakest defence for a long time.

Decent run in Europe and win Scottish Cup
+ Result at the piggery and beat them again at Ibrox, a run of strong away wins for our last 5 pre split away fixtures and beyond.
I’d actually take all of that and a Cup win over another round or couple of rounds in Europe.
We must win the League next year and need to continue to see huge improvement in our last 13 games

Scottish Cup, last 8 of the Europa, and solve the away form.

I’d actually be going into next season quite excited then - so long as we added 3 or 4 new quality signings.

Unless we win the Europa League then the season has been a failure. There's not really any other way to dress it up sadly.
Thats true but developing our youth further would be real nice. Nothing like a load of home grown talent if we can get the conveyer belt working . I was sorry to lose Lovelace

All things considered we do look like being on the right track.
Europe has been fantastic and it looks like player development is progressing very well and in a short period.
Winning the Scottish Cup would be great but you still need a bit of luck to win it so not a must for me.
Should have won the league Cup but a dodgy call cost us a big chance in that.

The next main improvement, as we all know, is the away form but the way the team is gelling now this shouldn't be an issue.

Whether we like it or not the way Clement has had to take the team is the way we need to go from now on. We can't carry on as we have been.

Excited for the rest of the season and into next.
The downside is we will lose players more regularly but this is the only way we can operate realistically from now on.

Not a dig at you, but I'm fed up of hearing shite like this. I couldn't care less about the quality of their squad, I expect to beat them more often than not and expect a competent Rangers board, manager and squad to deliver trophies.

This from @Empire on Twitter this morning is a fair assessment of where we're at and should serve as a wake up call for a few.
