'Whataboutery'

Like bigotry, whataboutery only works one way.

Nothing was said when Gerrard was abused. Then Boyd. Then when SC gets it boom.

Fuckoff biased and complicit media. We protestant people are fed but being treated like shite and discriminated against.

This has been my viewpoint (as posted) on these forums for the last few years.

It would actually be a decent avenue of attack for C1872 and/or 4Lads to explore in their next releases.

If we're not allowed to compare like with like, it is the very definition of the term "preferential treatment."

Whataboutery = Judicial or Legal Precedent in our country. We’ve run the country for over a century using this principle ? Now it’s not acceptable ???
 
One of Spew Keevins favourite words, always uses it when his beloved Tims are brought into any kind of "bad" discussion.

It's a shite word and means nothing.

Agent Scotland on twitter is by far the worst culprit of this. He’s the most followed SPFL fan account on twitter and uses it as a tool to hate Rangers, due to his love of the darkside.

He’s slaughtered our fans again today and has the full support of other Scottish football fans. Funnily enough when someone questioned him about Boyd his response was ‘whattaboutery’. He’s demanding our club to change but never sees a problem with his beloved ‘hoops’.

No one is going to take our side when they look to ‘agents’ like him on twitter for ‘analysis’ and ‘insight’.

In reality he’s a bitter celtc fan who goes full ‘sevco’ whenever Rangers win.
 
I think it's farcical when the unwashed hit you with this when their own fans are just as guilty,great believer in that if you intend to pull someone up for something,just make sure you haven't done similar,glass houses and all that.

One of the chaps on Heart & Hand referred to this media attitude as 'Selectarianism' and he really hit the nail on the head with it.
 
It's a device to close down a debate you aren't going to win.
Unsurprisingly Spiers uses it a lot.
