Today's vote is between 2 cracking goals scored against Celtic at Parkhead, but they are goals probably not talked about very often as we lost both games 2-1.
Goal 1 is from April 1982 and scored by Derek Johnstone. Rangers were already long out of the title chase, while the opposition were looking likely league champions. The game itself was horribly familiar to those of us who attended these games at that time. We conceded a soft goal early on, then went 2 down in the second half despite being the better team for long spells. When we did score, it was to be a late consolation. But a cracking goal by a player now carrying too much weight and not the player he was. Overweight or not, brilliant chest control and a volleyed finish.
Goal 2 is from April 2008 and scored by Nacho Novo. Rangers were in the middle of a massive run of big games at home and abroad, this game was rearranged from New Year. Remembered more for the sickening injury time winner we conceded which turned out to be a crucial blow in the title race, but our equaliser that night was a fantastic angled strike worthy of winning any game rather than almost forgotten. The wee guy enjoyed a goal against them.
2 scorers of big goals. 2 depressing games at the piggery. 2 great finishes in front of the Rangers end.
But which goal was better?
