Who do you think the were the subs Beale was critical off after the game

I didn't see any of the subs playing for themselves.

MB likes to get reactions from players and keep them on their toes.

Maybe he just said so all the subs question if it's them and raise their game.

Beale is not gonni shame name his players FFS
This man will win us 56, shortly.
Well, inside the next two years

No idea who he was getting at but he looked pissed off at the press conference
I like the fact he calls it the way it is, and not afraid to criticise below par performances

He was poor and looked very sluggish.

Hopefully rediscovers early season form but not convinced he suits our style.

We shall see.
Colak won’t be properly match fit until he starts playing from the start again.

And that’s not going to happen if Alfie is fit.

Two completely different strikers and only one of them fits our style of play.

Picked up a bit of the post-match presser and Beale says he has to maybe look at himself for making changes in 2nd half to keep players sattisfied (or a word to that effect), then went onto say some of the subs that came on played for themselves and not for the team. Who do you think he was getting at?
Wright. Think he was trying too hard to make an impact himself, instead of taking the easier option

Kamara, Wright and Colak were poor when they came on.

I thought Kamara was the right sub and expected better after how dominant he was at Tynecastle.
I don't think it would be Kamara after midweek, he has to do much better though, 1 good game doest give you a free hit for the next 2-3 games. He should be putting in they shifts every game. I do think it was more Wright though he was on about.

I thot post match Beale was a little spikey about the team but imo it wasn’t only the subs he was angling at .
I agree with him re layers of the team encroaching into other players too .

Overall I feel that was a poor performance and there are plenty of indicators eg the number of off goal attempts , forward players who never managed on-target attempts , and also the small number of corners all add up to a team that never functioned well today .

Did you notice Ross County had 50% more corners than us today eg . Unusual number that especially from what about 35% possession .

Sloppy and indirect , fancy and fussy .

He specifically said they scored before GK had touched the ball I would assume that to mean he was asked to get into the MF and stabilise possession and control of the ball .

Which I would say is a minor criticism

Need this.

Kamara was poor but he was very good against Hearts.
Wright was ineffective.
The downgrade from Morelos to Colak is enormous, like going from driving a Porche to driving a 1989 Ford Escort with a boot full of bricks.

Raskin looked understandably overly keen to impress but you can see the quality already. I can't wait until he is ready to start.

Tbf to Beale RK wasn’t exactly threatening RC today and I’m not sure AM want ready to be subbed he looked a little flatter around that part of the game .
The subsequent performances of the subs is another matter .

Don’t disagree D. We had few quality performances today.

The subs were given their chance to improve things & unfortunately only really Raskin showed the passion & desire.

We were basically very average and a replica of the St Johnstone performance.
People have been screaming for ages about 2 holders at Ibrox not needed.
When Lundstram went off replaced by Tillman it made not a jot of difference to the overall performance with one holder.
When you play against a packed defence you need to play with intensity switching the ball quickly from side to side (same as Hearts) we didn’t .
So consistency and intensity missing.
McLaughlin today was awful again and he’s trying to offer what McGregor doesn’t as a sweeper keeper and coming from crosses.
Trouble is he flaps at the ball or misses altogether much too often.
I thought Cantwell was our best player and looks promising.
Colak needs service and solely a penalty box striker and he got virtually none.
How people criticise Borna today escapes me as he was the provider of several decent opportunities.
I thought the subs were made to try and reinstate MBs preferred formation with 2 holders which he had to sacrifice with Lundstrum injured early.
Certainly several under performed and thought Sakala missing today.
It was just poor overall.
Mention must be made of the ref who very quickly brought out the yellow for our offences.
That’s fine as long as he’s consistent and Ross Co received the same.
I saw Callaghan boot Cantwell off the ball and nada.
Happy enough with 3 points and we move in.

Kamara was half arsed

Colak was brutal

Scott Wright was as ineffectual and pointless as he always is.

I’d rather Kent over Wright if Kent had been running nonstop for 6 hours.

Lowry should be getting subbed on ahead of Wright, I know they traditionally play in slightly different positions but Lowry could adapt to the position and actually offer something when Wright offers nothing.

Colak. He doesn’t fit this system, probably tired of hearing it but he doesn’t offer enough outside the box
It's a problem you put the exact same 10 chances in front off Morelos and Colak and Colak scores more, however he doesn't do much else whereas Alfie does a lot of good lead up work in our moves and protects the ball much better.

He did not say that, what he said was, " I would not say they played for themselves but they were not in tune with the rest of the team"

Beale should look at himself for making so many needless subs at one time when it’s only 2-1.

The decision to make the change(s) is as much to blame as the performances of the players who were introduced.

He said that in his press conference. Hes trying to keep a squad happy thats why he made the subs.

Scott Wright was as ineffective as usual, I just don't see him having a future with us at all if I'm honest.

Colak was also poor, he has very little speed and really hasn't kicked on since his purple patch at the start of the season.
Wright is still an Aberdeen player. If he wasn't Scottish homegrown he'd be nowhere near our club

No manager should be making subs to "keep players satisfied". Subs should only be made for the good of the team.

Also a bit concerned that he will not make a decision on the goalkeeping situation and stick with it.

Beale explains his subs pretty well in the post match press conference.

That's one of the things I like about Beale, he is very honest and explains his decisions quite well.

It can be a fine balancing act between what is for the good of the team and what keeps the players satisfied.

If managers don't keep players satisfied they can start losing the dressing room, then some players stop performing and the manager gets sacked. If influential players don't get game time they can spread negativity in the dressing room.

He’s played 60 minutes since the second week in November

God knows how long Morelos has been afforded to start putting in acceptable performances again
True but he’s also training every day too. To me it’s at not a fitness thing it looks more a football style thing.

He was just as ineffective for weeks before his injury too.

I think Sakala should have stayed on and there was no need for Kamara another defensive midfielder.
We should have gone more attacking.

This is no slight at Beale as he's excelled since coming in.
So the manager made the wrong decision but its not on him

Brilliant lol

Wright is an Aberdeen level player
Always will be
1 in 4 good games, I like him but I’m afraid he ain’t going to cut it with us.

Agree with all of this. I think that is why Kemar Roofe is so important to us. He’s our extra dimension. Shame he’s never fit.

We have a few in that category.
Interested to see if Jack maintains his fitness until end of season.
Amazed with Roofe as no matter how long he’s injured for when he comes back he looks as if never been away.
Pity he never stays fit.
I’m amazed at lots of posters who absolutely slate players for not being fit.
Pretty sure they would prefer to be fit and contribute.
