Who had this song first?

One of my favourite Rangers songs which I'm sure a lot probably haven't heard before.

A guy in the pub tried to argue that it's originally a Linfield song but we have just adapted it to Rangers... Anyone able to settle this?
Definitely a Linfield song, although I had it on an old Rangers LP in the sixties.

Remember some of the lyrics, 'Davy Cohrane on the wing, Joe Bambrick up the middle of our heroes we must sing'

They can have their forty shades of green or any other hue, just as long they will leave to us that lovely royal blue'

What happened to the bloke on here who claimed to have written "The Blue Sea Of Ibrox" in the early 2000s?
I feared for his mental health tbh.
