Who is all out for the Old Firm?

One other point, how many will be making their old firm debuts? The intensity of the game will pass them by.

Oh, one other thing, there’s 5 subs. We will have the much better bench so we should go full throttle, max out and then bring on the subs to keep the intensity going. Guys like Scott Wright for the last 25 mins to run at their tired hamstrings.
Good point, especially with the Japanese.
Typically, Japanese football is technically good but played at a snails pace, which is how players well into their 40s and 50s can still play.
I can see their arses collapsing under the pressure, pace and intensity of an old firm match.

They cannot play on Wednesday and then try to postpone our game. They either try to postpone all 3 of their next games (which won't happen) or they play all 3 including us and get what they should of got at the start of January...an absolute doing.
They cant postpone anyway. No reason to. However, it wouldn't surprise me if there was a mass covid outbreak or sickness bug round about 30th Jan

Us - Morelos (international) is the only one confirmed.

Them - Rogic, Maeda, Kyogo, McGregor - all confirmed by the Aussie. Turnbull was “weeks away” last week. Possibly more.

Really has worked out well for us
It’s fucking phenomenal.

The midfield they’ll play against us has the potential to be absolute comedy.

We postponed games under McCoist for having 2 or 3 players away on international duty. Pretty sure you can do it IF the fixture lists allows.

watch out for Rogic and the Japanese getting a private jet back after playing early on Tuesday 1st & being back here on the Wed morning. Flange will start both of them & hopefully they both break down in the 1st half.

then there is plan B to get the game off - how many of the Lisbon Lions are still around?
Jim Craig has went into hiding.

Is Hagi not likely to be out for us too?

Is this our likely starting line up unless Helander or maybe Balogun gets back? I'm putting Sakala on the right wing even though Gio never does. I'm sure he will come round eventually. I've also put Roofe CF but could be Itten.

McGregor
Tav Goldson Bassey Barisic
Arfield Kamara
Sakala Aribo Kent
Roofe
And what is likely theirs?

Hart
Juranovic Carter-Vickers Starfelt Taylor
Hatate Ideguchu O'Riley
Abada Giakoumakis Jota
Maybe Bitton in midfield or Forrest instead of Abada. Either way, their squad isn't filling me with fear. Their bench will be horrendous too.

I hope we don't sit back in this match. They are there for the taking.
If those were to be the line ups we will absolutely destroy them.

Fs, I wouldn't have a clue what their team would be and genuinely haven't even heard of a few names there.

He hasn't trained since boxing day game and has been to see a specialist

Hes fucked

That tends to happen when you play professional football for a year solid, you sign for a team desperate for your services, you’re new teams medical department is a joke, you have a clueless/cruel/exploitative manager and you play and train at a high intensity. Lastly - when you are asked to play through an injury.

How many games do all these players miss that are on International duty? Just the old firm or is it more than one game?

That is a very inexperienced team for them.

Probably only Taylor has played in more than one OF game (and he is awful), most have never played in one.

They will probably play Ralston and Forrest (if fit) because they know the fixture.

Thankfully, they are also pish.

I think they will scrape by on Wednesday and the same at the weekend but will hopefully be on empty by the 2nd.

I'll probably get slaughtered for saying this, but I'd still take a draw right now if you offered me it.

Obviously play to win and all that but we need to maintain that 4-points at worst.
With us having a much kinder run between the 2nd and the split, I think a draw would do us just fine. Obviously want to, and think we can, pump them but losing would be a big blow to morale so I would take a draw as well. Never know, it might be more than 4 points by the time we get to the 2nd. Could obviously be less too but I doubt it.

Precisely. These lying cheats have pulled this stunt too many times before.

Well even if they do try and pull a stunt like that, (and I don't believe there's any chance of it), the fact that he hasn't trained since boxing day, I hope they do play him then.

Nobody can play professional sport, without training for the past 6 weeks.
He'd be an absolute passenger and risk the chance of a real serious injury.

The human body doesn't work like that mate.

They really are shitting themselves now and if Hearts take something it will become very loose.

The latest Owish recruit O'Reilly may have to be chucked in, according to the record they fended off competition from around Europe for him

Must say after the aberdeen game and morelos getting called up I started to worry. But with the injuries theyve picked up, Nigeria getting papped out and a few of our players recovering from injuries, im starting to feel a lot better. Solid performances on wednesday and saturday please Rangers. Theyll be begging for a postponement if hearts take anything off them

Could see them having Ralston on the right and Juranovic left, Biton and McCarthy also maybe more likely than Ideguchi and O'Riley.

True mate. We’ll find out shortly.

Great news Aribo will be back for it. Does anyone know who is definitely unavailable for both sides as it stands?
Morelos - Rangers OUT
Hagi - Rangers Unknown
Davis, Arfield, Helander, Jack - Rangers all back in training expected to be available
Roofe and Sands not called up for international duty, will be available
Aribo returning from ACON, available

Turdbull - Celtic OUT
McGregor - Celtic OUT
Rogic - Celtic OUT
Kyogo - Celtic OUT
Medea - Celtic OUT
Gucci - Celtic unknown
Adaba - Celic unknown

CCV, Hatate, McCarthy, Greek Boy and Jota will probably make their OF debuts. O'Reilly, Kenny and Guicci if fit on bench?

Us, cant see any starter making their debut.
McGregor.
Tav. Goldson. Balagun. Barasic.
Kamara.
Hagi. Arfield. Aribo. Kent
Roofe

If Hagi is unfit, Sakala will play. We will want to take the game to this weakened Celtic.

I'll believe Furihashi is out when I hear their team on the night of the game and he isn't in it.

He was definitely out of the League Cup final last month.
Believe it. Playing him in the Cup final and then away to St Johnstone means he is now fooked.

He'll need to appear on the training ground within the next couple of days mate, plus he'd need to do some intensive work, to even get 70% fit.

All the talk has been of him and Turnbull visiting specialists and no real time frame for their return.
There's been too many sources that's came from, for it not to be true imo.

The alternative is that they do try and work him hard this week and try to get him even half fit for next week.
However, by working someone with a weak hamstring hard, you take a huge risk of doing some real damage, that could easily put him out for the full season.

Imo, I just don't see him being involved.

Is Jack not back, the other week GVB was saying he should be available for selection this week. Helander can't be far away because he has been in training this last month.

Morelos is a miss but Roofe has the quality and workrate to fill that position. Sakala also offers something different there as well using his pace to get in behind because I don't think the two centrebacks they have are exactly pacey.

Is Kent suspended for it?

Internationals:
Morelos

Rogic
Maeda

Injuries:
Jack (?)
Helander (?)

Kyogo
McGregor
Japanese man with long name
Turnbull (?)

Did Maeda get called up because of Kyogo's injury or was he due a call up anyway?

So they're left with only one of their new signings available, and their three main midfielders out injured or on international?

Two seasons in a row they've manipulated fixtures and made a complete arse of it.

Carter Vickers is reasonably quick, (not Balogun or Bassey quick) but Starfelt certainly isn't.

Kent is suspended for Wednesday.

With that potential Scum lineup, it will be embarrassing if we don’t go for the throat and win by at least a couple of goals.

The remaining available squad is weaker than they had for last years OF games under Lennon.

No excuses. Hump them and end any talk of them ‘challenging’. The Postecoglou myth has gone on too long.

Returning too early from a hamstring injury with no rehab is asking for months on the sidelines. Doesn't matter how fit you are.

I'm talking from personal experience here with my own hamstring issues that have only just cleared up after stupidly taking painkillers to get through a couple of races last autumn.

Big Ange ruined him to win the League Cup and finished him off by hitting the panic button against St Johnstone.

If he's thrown in against us then it'll pop again before half time.

Furushashi is a good player and quite a find for them.

That said, he wasn’t particularly effective against us at Ibrox. Infact he was annonymous until he squandered some late chances.

I’ll be pleased if he’s injured for a bit but it’s probably not as important for our chances as some make out

Imagine an experienced triathlete and qualified triathlon coach, breaking the golden rule of patience and returning too early from a hammy injury!

Shame on you @YorkshireBlue.

I'd now say Balogun is back unless he breaks down again, rather than "unless Balogun gets back". Not sure how far away FH is.
