I remember this, but it was a lonnnngg time ago, no? Maybe 12 years ago?
 
I remember it well. Being a younger bear at the time my mum banned me from the site during the furore. She only let me back on when she realised I was spending all my time watching porn instead :D

Yep, I had to use my NTL World one from the time, which I obviously never changed and meant I never got an email the other day about the new board.
 
I remember having 1000's posts in both the pit/lounge and suddenly gone bloody withdrawal symptoms and having to converse with the wife for a few days all-cause of a cartoon different days now.
 
As indicated above, the boards (plural) were temporarily pulled because of the reactionary material across the Yahoo board and FF, including some scandalous stuff from the jake in charge of the Hoopy board.
 
I was just a youngster but remember it well. Seemed to be offline for ages! I've been on here since I was 12 or 13 with the original footymad boards. I'm 28 next month. Jeez :eek:

It was but a mere portent of the climate to come for the Rangers supporting Protestant in Scotland.

Arguably the defining moment of one rule for us, with inappropriate sanction, and another for the unwashed with zero sanction.

A watershed moment looking back.

Very, very little has changed since then.

Same here - had to use a Blueyonder one that I dont have access to any more. Hadnt a clue why I couldnt get on the forum the last couple of days...:confused:
 
I remember getting it getting shut down. Around 2006(ish)

We lost the brilliant One Night Stand thread at that time :(
 
Always struck me as mental that cartoon was the tipping point - as if somehow the previous years of degeneration didn't even happen. :)
 
Is it possible to know the gist of the cartoon without causing any bother?
 
Then later that season the Scottish media hassled UEFA into banning the Billy Boys.

We got a fine for a bottle being chucked at Villarreal's bus but the Scottish media weren't happy with that and wanted our anthem banned.

No agenda though.

Helicopter Sunday really hurt them.
 
If I remember correctly it was that lot from celtic minded website who went ape shit about it crying to anyone who would listen.

I remember it. Everyone migrated to the "backup board" for a spell.

Madness that it reached the news but then again Lennon is treated as a modern day Robin Hood in Scotland these days.

Remember it well.used to go nuts because I couldn't get on .would keep trying to see if it was up and running again..such a sad lady's front bottom:D:D
 
Much ado about nothing really and when you think of the effigies the blatant bleeding hearts of the oppressed look ridiculous. Not worth re-visiting (the pic itself) but it did create the opportunity for an alternative forum which could be used when the hamster wasn't well.
 
The proboards was the first time I ever signed up to FF. Remember being gutted when we moved away from it and my post count had to start from 0 again, took me years to get lounge access :D
