Willem II game now available to purchase on Rangers TV £9.99

Hope it works this time. Last game kept saying I was logged in on too many devices and I had to get a refund for the game.

By your logic, a full price ST is for attending games in person.

Given we’re only getting a stream, we shouldn’t have been charged full price ST? We should only have been charged the going rate for individual PPV matches ...
Look unless you’ve been on the moon for the last year we all knew no fans in stadia was happening are you saying to the contrary that you paid for a season ticket expecting to attend games? And your asking my logic lol

No we never, nobody knew.
We were all talking about getting into games possibly in Sept or even Jan back when this kicked off but I am now resigned to the fact that we won't be back this season at all.
All the posters are asking for is to show the same loyalty to the fans and we have shown the club.
We have shown enormous respect for the club.
Ask for your money back and give up your seat plenty bears waiting in the wings I’m sure the club will accomodate

No. I paid knowing I wouldn’t get to every home game.

At no point was it ever expected we’d miss the full season. As I said, it’s not the clubs fault though.

All I’ve said is I think the club could have offered us a few qualifiers free of charge given how much we’ve stumped up for a vastly inferior product than we pay for every other season

But it’s not all you’ve said.

You’ve continually bleated about getting ripped off and that it’s a disgrace.

“At no point was it ever expected we’d miss the full season”
No it wasn’t expected but there was a chance.

Honestly, that is the equivalent of going apeshit at your financial advisor because your stock has tanked off the face of the Earth. “But how was I meant to know”

Again, yes they could have offered but frankly, every single penny is a prisoner when you are running at losses and offering equity for loans.

You’re a bit pissed off and feeling taken for granted, we all are. But you don’t rip into your kids every 5 minutes for not appreciating you.

If you’ve made an emotional investment, you’ve done a good thing for your club.
If you’ve made a financial investment, you’ve done the wrong thing for you.

Not giving us a few qualifiers free of charge is a disgrace IMO. I won’t change my mind on that

I also felt it was shocking that after ST holders fronted up, the club then release details for non ST holders to pay £10 per home game without even as much as an acknowledgement that it’s well short of what ST holders are paying.

The club take ST holders for granted and the “we never take it for granted” spiel we get from Robertson every time we’re asked to cough up, is nothing more than a sound bite.

No point debating any further as neither of our stances will change

So you’d like to deny all other supporters the opportunity to watch the games to make you feel special. Ok

Just don’t renew then mate. Nobody forces any supporter. I agree it’s poor though especially when no fans are going to be getting their seasons tickets money’s worth any time soon.

I think in this instance it wouldn’t have done the club much harm to give season ticket holders the game for free or at the very least cheaper than non season tickets . Depending how this season goes the board might be well leaving some goodwill in the bank

No. They should have been charged the equivalent as to what I was charged with my ST
In that scenario should the club then do a ballot for next seasons books based on everyone who wanted 1. You like the rest of us paid extra to secure your seat going forward correct?. Your saying those unlucky enough not to secure a seat should pay full whack anyway. I see the extra cash as me securing my seat for next year.

Good for you mate so have I. Would you not agree as maybe a goodwill gesture we got the qualifying rounds free as season ticket holders in these circumstances?
It would be nice to have a goodwill gesture yeah. But I can see exactly where the club are coming from, we would usually have 4 qualifying round home games where all the tickets are sold as extra to the season ticket. That’s a lot of lost revenue before you even get to the group stages

I’m not buying it this week major issues last week saying I was blocked missed 1st 25 min of the game, it was a shambles.

No but you would normally get to watch every league game in the stadium. Fans are getting squeezed for every single penny these days and not a lot in return for it. MyGers essentially pointless while stadiums shut. Online streams for ST holders when we all know you can watch for buttons via IPTV or about a quarter the price of your season ticket via Rangers TV and a VPN
Rangers will be paying for the rights to show the game. Premium tv won't be giving it away for nothing.

The club have made money off us with ST income, MyGers despite there being very very few benefits this season to it.

We’ve made a fair amount from merchandise.

The costs to broadcast these games are 5 figures. If it’s about covering cost of broadcasting, then charge us the lowest possible which would break us even with the cost we pay to broadcast.

Imps, Willem and possibly Galatasaray - no one is telling me they couldn’t give these games to ST holders for free. They could have but have chosen not to and I imagine this will apply to the Galatasaray game as well, infact that’ll probably end up being £15 a head.

The fans have done their part. The players and management haven’t and a slight hit on their income would cover the cost of broadcasting these games for free to ST holders.

This is just a case of the club looking to rip the piss out of ST holders even further.

Mate, to be frank, the Club would likely go out of business if folk didn’t renew their season ticket. Any games we get to go to this season are a bonus. Otherwise, I’m not going to sit and scream about what the Club should and shouldn’t be giving me because I’ve bought a season ticket. The Club are already losing out on European home ticket sales for the foreseeable and still actually signing players so I’m firmly in the camp of give the Club a break even if you feel it’s a small amount.

Anyone who renewed this year should of been well aware of the circumstances.

I live abroad and pay monthly RTV, but I really feel for you guy's paying for a season ticket and not getting in. Nobody saw this coming. I can only say " God bless you all" and hope this is over soon.

Will this be included in the £240 ultimate package that overseas fans have?

Apologies if this was covered in previous posts but couldn't see it.

Yes! if you pay the full RTV live game for over sea viewers you get all games unless they are UEFA designated.

That’s ridiculous.

ST holders are the ones that front up a large sum every summer.

Non ST holders in a normal season pay game by game and the prices of a ticket work out dearer per game than a ST over the course of a season.

We’ve paid our ST in full so non ST holders should be charge at the very least per game, the same as what ST costs are divided per game for a stream.

That non ST holders are getting each game for £10 means in effect, they’re paying £190 to watch all of our home league games whilst the rest of us are paying a minimum £500.

Sorry but that is wrong. They should be paying more than that and no, ST holders shouldn’t be balloted if that were the case seeing as tens of thousands of us have had ST for years / decades

I get the club won’t be making money from home qualifiers. However, to compare with last seasons balance sheet, this season the club will be making probably around £4-5m on retail and £1m on mygers which should help balance some of it out.

I’m not annoyed that I’ve bought my ST and can’t get to games. I’m annoyed at the club continuing to rip the piss out of ST holders by charging us for qualifiers, not to mention they’re selling every home league game to non ST holders for a severely discounted price

As expected this thread has turned into a Rangers caused the virus farce and should create a socialist MyGers utopia where the magic money tree gives folk milk and honey for hee haw

What a pointless post full of drivel if truth be told.

If you can point me towards anyone claiming Rangers caused the virus, and folk want lots of things for free, batter in...

All I and others have said is that given how much we’ve paid for a vastly inferior product, the least the club could do as a goodwill gesture is give ST holders a couple of qualifiers for free. Hardly expecting a lot.

Gesture of goodwill = magic money tree :D

Why dont some fans get it? If we didnt pay the ST money we would have to wave bye bye to the majority of the squad. Have a look at the financial accounts. If you want a squad to compete for the title we are all required to pay the ST.

It really is that simple

The European rights from what I understand are 5 figure sums

You seriously suggesting the club couldn’t give us 3 rounds of qualifiers for free, costing less than £300k in total?

When they’ve milked us for mygers, retail, ST ...

Not having that

If you really expect any business in these trying times to give you something free that costs them hundreds of thousands of pounds then there’s not even any point in debating with you, incredible

I don’t see why we can’t be given access to RTV for the qualifiers.

That decision would be made by the club, no one else.

Club will have paid 50k for example, for the broadcast rights. Give ST holders access to it for free.

It’s not difficult. They’ve made far more than 50k from us than a normal season with mygers, retail money for a start

Club won’t have paid £50k, try about 5 times that

No longer the case as the public sale price for the same seat as the STH is now roughly based just over what the STH pay per game i.e say £30 for STH then public sale price will be £31/£32 depending on the game exception is Celtic game since no public sale

Why on earth would it be free?

Erm because we’ve paid full whack for a ST when we’re not getting to games. At the same time the club are selling each game for £10 to every non ST holder

The least the club could do is give ST holders some recognition by giving us a few qualifiers for free

I’d turn that round and say it is incredible that the club expect ST holders to pay more money for watching a game after they’ve taken a minimum £500 off us all for 19 home league games which they’re now selling at £10 a game

incredible indeed

Do you support rangers because you love the club or because you have a seat you’ve had for decades and it’s now a chore you can’t afford because right now your ranting And raving point to the latter. Embarrassing really

What a sad sad 10yr olds post. I am getting punished so everyone should feel the pain. Let's punish all who have paid for RTV for years. If you get a parking ticket maybe they should send one to every named person on your car insurance or household. What a lot of bollocks. Sorry!

It’s not a chore to me. I’ve been going for near enough 3 decades.

I can afford the £10 PPV. That’s not my point.

My point is the club IMO are ripping the piss out of ST holders with this.

Nonsense.

ST holders pay at least £500 for 19 home league games. Some depending on where they sit are more than £500.

So effectively £500+ for a live stream.

The club then sell the same live stream for £10 per game meaning non ST holders can get a full season pass for £190.

That’s not behaving like a 10 year old. It’s a more than valid point which is a reason why I think it’s extremely shite on ST holders having to fork out more cash for more stream games

Others on here agree and going by Twitter, plenty of ST holders are in agreement with me

The 2 games against Celtic won't be PPV or any others that Sky decide choose and I have said earlier in the thread that PPV is optional to the clubs

It is Rangers decision to charge £9.99

So leave out a couple of home games that feature on sky. 2 mentally challenged game and usually 1 or 2 towards the end of the season

My point still stands. Non ST holders are paying a lot less than ST holders are per game

I can understand that it was a short term solution naturally yesterday's decision has changed that and you not getting to use the product in person and this is next best thing due the agreement in place

Say we decide the next 4 League homes are not a PPV option - does that make a better benefit to the STH?

Deary me. This thread will be protested against by some in the Lounge, because it’s an abortion.

A circa £300k offering of “goodwill”. Bet he was the type that took the refund last season and used it to buy this season’s ticket... and planning to do the same this year. Not being able to attend the games this season has saved me a fortune too. No food, travel or pints.

Same people who demand King etc pour money into the club for players, stadium improvements, court cases etc yet expect something back for every penny they part with.

100% agree it’s all noise to keep the precious seat for next term and will be front and centre demanding cash back with no ducks given about financial implications to the club. If I were the club anyone who wants there Season ticket refund should give up there seat and be told to join the waiting list. Harsh but fair imo

Im not saying the club shouldn’t sell PPV.

I’m saying they should be sold at a fee in proportion to what ST holders are paying

Well you’re wrong on that. I didn’t take a refund.

So the rest of your point is just rubbish. £300k tops as a goodwill gesture towards 46,500 ST holders that paid well over the odds for a live stream for 19 home games ..
