Now you too can look like Oleg Blokhin!
Some of you will remember back in 2014, I undertook a project to make 32 meals from each of the 32 countries participating in the World Cup in Brazil over the course of the 32 days of the tournament.
It was a super-successful campaign which a lot of you on FollowFollow enjoyed at the time. My endeavour was featured on BBC Radio Scotland, in the Sunday Post and Metro newspapers, and also on a number of football fan-blogs.
Now, for the upcoming tournament in Russia 2018, World Cup Dinners is back!
For my second round of World Cup Dinners I will be doing things slightly differently with a mixture of new meals for the 10 news teams who didn’t make it last time round, some throwbacks to previous dinners, and also a few special entries for teams from countries with some of my favourite cuisines.
I'll post my cooking adventures on here day-by-day, so you can all see what I am up to, but you can also check out my website:

Missed this last time - bookmarked it now. Just spent the last while reading your previous escapades and reckon I'll try a fair few of the recipes.
If you can source it, I'd recommend doing something with goat for Morocco. One of the most underrated meats available.
I'm thinking Fromage et Champagne for France- you should check out one of my other favourite places in London too:Mrs S (who is French) is loving your work sir!
It looks like a trip to the Peruvian restaurant in London is now on the cards.

Looks great.
If you were doing desserts then I'd go for a Piece Montee /Croquembouche.
We've had a couple made for special occasions at the local Patieserie when in Biarritz. The baker/pastry chef loves making them and doesn't get that many requests.
A pyramid of choux -mmmn!
I love shit like this and was enjoying reading the blog until the section about Argentina at which point I launched my phone through the window and will be sending you the bill.
What you got planned for England this time around?
Yes mate, that looks like a good'un. We do like a good stew down here. Why the Argie-Bargie?
I'm thinking of SCOUSE in honour of Stevie G:

https://worldcupdinners.com/2018/06/17/throwback-brazil-feijoada/
It’s throwback time again today, and this time we are going waaaay back to where it all began with the Brazilian national dish of Feijoada!
This was my first ever World Cup Dinner for the 2014 tournament, and I must admit, it is one of my favourites. Nice and savoury with a bit of citrussy flavour coming through.
Why not try making it today to accompany Brazil as they get their tournament off to a start against Switzerland.
