I hope it’s changed in future to 60 mins of the ball in play, 35 mins is just ridiculous.
That's the best rule change that could be brought in to improve that game imo. The time keeping should be taken off the ref.As supporters we pay for a 90 minute game, therefore the ball should be in play for 90 minutes imo, stop the clock each time the ball goes out or a player is down injured, will stop a lot of time wasting

The Americans do that with their American Football - and in other sports also - but a 60 minute game lasts about 3 hours. As supporters we pay for a 90 minute game, therefore the ball should be in play for 90 minutes imo, stop the clock each time the ball goes out or a player is down injured, will stop a lot of time wasting
Did they have ball boys?Sounds similar to our game away to Livingston. 2 minutes to take every throw in and no urgency from the ball boys
They were only thinking of the poor fans?To be fair, 35 minutes is more than long enough for that game
I remember reading about them doing this with a reserve match in England once - I’m sure it was during the 1990s. It took something like 70 minutes to complete the first half and everyone agreed to chuck it after that.Christ, it would be like a test cricket match. 5 days long.
The sheer size of some lower league players in England, especially the Championship, is staggering, which made it interesting when Ejaria left Rangers because it was a bit too physical and went to Reading!I know someone who played in the lower leagues in England. Said the players were giants, physically really strong, but no one got the ball down to play, and if you were a skilful midfielder, there was no point in playing.
Cut the game to two 30 minute halfs. (Take the watch off the ref)You better bring some sandwiches and a flask of tea with you.BBB.
Sounds good but, I would still take yourCut the game to two 30 minute halfs. (Take the watch off the ref)
7.45 kick off, it would still be playing at midnight. As supporters we pay for a 90 minute game, therefore the ball should be in play for 90 minutes imo, stop the clock each time the ball goes out or a player is down injured, will stop a lot of time wasting
I've said before.I hope it’s changed in future to 60 mins of the ball in play, 35 mins is just ridiculous.
Aberdeen players will have Rotherham posters up on their walls now.
Hardly comparable? The Americans do that with their American Football - and in other sports also - but a 60 minute game lasts about 3 hours.
Sixty isn’t enough.I hope it’s changed in future to 60 mins of the ball in play, 35 mins is just ridiculous.

I look forward to next season when we get Liverpool and Madrid in our champions league group and folk are wondering why our players are rushing to take goal kicks and throw-ins at 0-0.
It doesn't make for great viewing, but it is part of the game.
Also not entirely true, the clock doesn’t stop after every play in the NFLHardly comparable?
Whats the average in football?
Doing the math it would be around 225 minutes.Christ, it would be like a test cricket match. 5 days long.
