I knew this would descend into Barker is not good enough, mainly from the same guys who reckoned Barisic wasn’t either.

He has just turned 23 you don’t get to play for England at under 18, 19 and 20 level if you don’t have something about you.

I’ll trust Gerrard on this one.
 
We need to get more goals in the team

the only player capable of providing this from the right appears to be stewart

For those questioning Barker you clearly weren’t in Porto to see the shift he put in. We need the threat of pace to stop them forcing us back.

Ojo might not have contributed much either in Feyenoord but the threat of his pace was enough for them to sit deeper.

Jones in Denmark was the same.

In Europe you need pace. Central defenders lap up long/high balls all day long the thought of three pacy attackers dragging them out of position terrifies them.

He seems to have somehow lost the lightening pace he had, very strange as i thought he would be a good signing, he hasn't really done much wrong but there hasn't been a creative spark and i havent seen him taking defenders on much.
