For the past six months I played without an ACL in my left knee.
Swollen knee for six months.
I was only able to train with the team 10 times in the last six months.
Took more than 20 injections in six months.
Emptied the knee once a week for six months.
Painkillers every day for six months.
Barely slept for six months because of the pain.
Never suffered so much on and off the pitch.
I made something impossible to something possible.
In my mind I had only one objective, to make my teammates and coach champions of Italy because I made them a promise.
Today I have a new ACL and another trophy.

Guys absolutely brilliant and bonkers and obviously an ego that's humongous

He is to get a new knee and left hip before the start of pre.season just because he can and will play with stones in his boots to go through pain just because he is the man

I read his book, he’s not a big fan of Pepe’s, kind of painted him as the Spanish Craig Brown, without the young burd baggage. Well worth a read.

Not to dampen his heroism but even our favorite twat co-commentator Andy Walker played for years without an ACL

He's marmite but I like him, got to respect what he has acheived.

I like Zlatan, he's a character and his chutzpah is something to be admired. And to be still playing at his age, well, more power to him.

But one of the best transfers in Inter's history was offloading him to Barcelona and getting money PLUS the wonderful Samuel Eto'o. The trophy that Zlatan has never won, and never will, then duly arrived at the Meazza (or San Siro if you prefer).

I hope he keeps playing as long as he can.

I read his book and it changed my opinion of him, from dislike to like.
Exact same mate. He’s incredibly self confident, but he doesn’t lack self awareness so knows exactly the impact his persona has on others...and genuinely couldn’t give a toss. I found his observations and opinions on others supported and very understandable.

Having watched him regularly at LA Galaxy (years ago now lol) I don't think he was ever completely fit since his injury at Man Utd.

What he has achieved since is completely wild.

He shares a stat with 3 players who've featured in over 100 Champions League games proper and not won it.

The others are Gianluigi Buffon, Cesc Fàbregas and Fernandinho.
