Even De Jong - if he is owed 20m in wages, why is he still paying. Refuse and take them to court over unpaid wages?

Bordeaux are owed an instalment that they agreed on the transfer sale. It’s not money they never received from the deal. Like Besiktas being annoyed at us not paying instalments on Yilmaz, they aren’t up for payment yet.

Remember him too but he must have dropped off the radar for a few years. Completely forgot about him.

They’ve just sold another 25% of Barca TV for £100m.

The Barca players that are owed £ms must be fucking raging they haven’t been paid out when they are spunking all this money.
 
The financial fair play rules are a joke. You have Barcelona with over a billion in debts spending freely, and then there teams like Leicester who can't buy until they sell. Then there is the rest of the smaller clubs in Europe, on the outside looking in as the rich clubs do what they like.

Why would they need Cucurella when they have Chilwell and a solid back up in Alonso ?

Man City were suppose to be close to getting Cucurella by all accounts.

And Emerson. However it’s the lack of a cohesive transfer strategy that’s the issue. And compounded by lack of ability to close on targets. The amount of players Chelsea have been linked with and missing out. Now with season starting in a week. Total joke. Koulibaly and Sterling quality of course but lost Christianson and rudiger and lukaku. And trying to sign a left back for 40-50m….dear oh dear. Not to worry batschuyi will step up with 5 goals…

Havertz as a lone striker it seems with Sterling and Mount supporting with James and Chilwell as wing backs.

Definitely need a quality striker before the window shuts.

I wouldn't class Lukaku as a loss, feels like addition by subtraction TBH, he was a god awful fit with those around him, getting rid of him does feel more cohesive in that the as mentioned combo of Havertz, Mount and Sterling feels far more logical.

Despite his preseason struggles I expect Pulisic to look far more like the player he did in his first season.

given how key a FB is to their play, and given modern fees 50 million for Cucurella feels about right TBF

Guimaraes was ‘wasted’ in that position for Lyon going by a few French football experts.

He could do a very good job there, but because of the players ahead of him, he never really got the chance to showcase his talents going forward.
 
Barca are meant to be skint and they've spent more than any other club this summer.

BTW why is Schmeichel leaving Leicester? I thought he was one of their better players?

They haven’t signed a single player. Only team in the top five leagues not too. Maddison will probably end up going to Newcastle also.

Seems strange as they have always seemed to be a very well run club under the current owner and father before him.
