The delusion in this thread is mental.

We have black rooster as our official restuarant, a start up sportswear company in charge of our whole retail operation and a bunch of unknown partners plastered all over our website.

We also seem to end up in court with multiple partners, deals and agreements - at the last check we have 3 live court cases/being sued. That’s not a good look when Pepsi or Apple do their due diligence.

£5-7m a year for stadium naming rights in Scotland is dreamland stuff. We’d be lucky to get that tied in with a shirt sponsorship/renaming the training ground too. We play in a footballing hellhole in a country with a population of 5m and we have one of the worst TV time slots going for exposure. If any decent sized company was interested in doing a deal, it would’ve been done a long time ago. Apple/Pepsi/Mercedes or anyone with that type of clout don’t want associated with Scottish football.

£1m per season. OP must be ripping the proverbial. It would need to be about 4 or 5 times that to be worth it to us.

Truth. No-one with the money to make it worth it is interested and the fans wouldn't accept the Socomec/Cinch/32Red/SportemonGo/Tomket Tires Stadium for £700,000/season. This idea is going nowhere (until Rangers get out of Scottish Football and into a bigger playground).

The game is changing all the time squire. You either make moves to keep up or you get squashed. Nobody ever thought Barcelona would allow a shirt sponsor, now look.

Ibrox sponsored by Pepsi would be fine by me. It’s just a matter of time before a big company fancied it.
Pepsi, and no other corporation will be taking the already established name of Ibrox Stadium, if they ever do I will be very very surprised; a smaller company may try to do it, but I'm not sure about that being possible either. For fans like me, and there are I expect a great many, against the whole concept, there is nothing to worry about, because it won't happen, and certainly not on the scale you're talking about. You said it yourself, 'it would still be Ibrox to us'; "us" being who, just about every fan anywhere who knows the stadium by its established name already.

Time will tell watch this space

Why’s that? Is £1 million free money per season not better than &0?

Bisgrave seems to leave no stone unturned to bring in any amount of money possible. We have more partners than a Canadian barn dance. It’s only a matter of time.

There's brand protection and integrity to consider too. I understand some people will be talking about Pepsi, Apple and Coca-Cola with tongue in cheek but there is literally no chance any of those giants would be paying to have their name on our stadium.

Look at the other parts we have - that's the level we'd be at for stadium naming. I think it's fair to say none of us want The Socomec Stadium to be the new official name of our iconic stadium.

Never been a fan of stadium sponsorships but it's very important for us to get as much money in as we can now.

As long as we don't end up with some dodgy NFT or crypto currency sponsor.

In light of the board today appealing for finance for 1800 more seats to be installed in the stadium, I’m starting a poll on how we the fans would feel about letting a sponsor name the stadium for £1 million per season or thereabouts.

I used to be against the idea as I’m old and a traditionalist but realistically we would all call it Ibrox anyway no matter what.

For me as long as the firm was decent and global I think I’ve changed my mind and I’d happily take the money, if it was a decent amount.

What say the good people of FF?
I would take the Bin Ladens money if it made us better obviously would not want the black sheep of the family Osama to be front and centre .

Been covered to death on FF with various threads. The general feeling is with the right sponsor, its money for nothing.

They might call it the Orange Walkers Stadium on tv but we all know its Ibrox.

Absolutely not. The stadium was rebuilt in memory of the 66. Some things should just not be for sale. Football has been tarnished enough by commercialism this should be a line in the sand we do not cross.

I say it every time this comes up.
Ibrox is more than a football stadium.
Its a place of memorial and remembrance for so many people who lost loved ones there.
In my opinion it cheapens the memory of them and should be resisted.

I don’t think ANYONE is realistically expecting it to be the Pepsi Stadium mate

What if it secures that memorial site to be in place for future generations.

It would be madness to not be looking at this.

Its an income stream, would change very little for us, it’s easy money.

It would need to be a big brand to pay what we are asking.

Pirelli , Pepsi , Longines, Hugo Boss, Ford just a few examples I’d happily take.
You're at it!

Did the board appeal for more funds?

No chance. Giving up our history and traditions for a paltry amount to no doubt some shitey no mark company is ridiculous. Where does it stop? Black Rooster Rangers? The BioWave home dressing room?

There’s not a chance in hell some massive brand are going to come in with silly money, it can’t even be used in European competition.

Can’t believe so many would be happy to do this. Always Ibrox.

Christ no! Then that would make our amazing stadium like every other shit stadium.

Didn’t realise that cnt had his finger in Hugo boss . Forget them then

My point remains I agree with posters who said it needs to be a decent company

Samsung, Amazon , Microsoft , Mercedes’ Benz etc should be phoned by bisgrove . Mercedes could be receptive we are extremely popular in Germany for example and I’m sure they sponsor a couple of teams already

Coke Park would be more fitting for all the throbbers doing lines in the toilets during a game.

Sensibile realistic post - 100% spot on.

We would be lucky to get Vauxhall never mind Mercedes.

Very, very negative. It seems 2012 has damaged some of us to the point of no return.

Gone are the days Rangers used to think big it seems. The runner up mentality has seeped into us all.

And by the way, Vauxhalls money is as good as anyones. Detroit Lions do not too badly from Ford Field.

It's not being negative it's being realistic as to the position Scottish football is in.

If we had EPL money rolling in we would attract the biggest companies in the world.

If Vauxhall paid the right price id be more than happy to have them.

Being realistic to Scottish football's place in the food chain is not being negative.

Rangers is a brand far bigger than Scottish football as a whole but still remains hamstrung by being part of it.
