To be fair, I think it is a little unfair to just call it a straightforward group. In normal circumstances yes, but given where we are, we would not have looked at it as a group we should be getting out of.

The most annoying thing about it all is that we have had more than enough chances over tonight and the Spartak games to have put it to bed.

Poor kick from McGregor frustrating as %^*& because Rapid are horrible and will get absolute leathered in the last 32.
 
Distribution from the back is horrendous and imo we went out on a wimper a five minute spell of attacking and that was that it’s unacceptable.

Used to argue his worth with posters who favour Goram. However, Gorams kicking and distribution was outstanding, whereas it’s one area that’s always let McGregor down. Shame for Allan as he’s a big reason why we’re playing here tonight anyway.
 
An unusual mistake by Gerrard but I still feel Gerrard lets us down with his management. He just never takes advantage when he can.

We had played well up until that point. A solid performance but once again we can't create anything. Our midfield isn't good enough. Goals are such a struggle for us at the moment. It's a worry. Hopefully Mark Allan can address this on January.

Shagger cost us after saving us so often. If McAuley wasn't at the back a covering centre back who isn't slower than a week in jail would have covered. Scunnered.

Quite simply they sat back all the game and waited for any scraps. If we had went for it in the beginning who knows what might have happened .

Fucked it against Moscow, however had Morelos goal been allowed and we’d gone in 4v2 up then it could’ve been a different story. Kent and Candeias missing is a blow for a team with no other creative outlets.
