A VIDEO has surfaced online showing Inverness Caledonian Thistle players singing on a boozy bus ride - as somebody appears to chant "f**k the Pope."

The clip, which was taken from player Nathan Austin's Instagram stories, surfaced on social media earlier today.

The video appears to show players wearing club shirts as they sing along to Neil Diamond's Sweet Caroline.

And as the chorus hits, somebody appears to chant the sectarian slur.

The video was uploaded on to Austin's Instagram stories with the caption across the screen saying "Aberdeen... away."

The clip then appeared on a Twitter user's feed but has since been deleted

And the boss at Scotland's leading anti-sectarianism charity has condemned the video - calling for a club probe.

Dave Scott, Director of Nil by Mouth, said: "What an utterly dismal way to behave.

"The club now need to investigate this and take action to address this person’s attitudes immediately - regardless of who the player or official is and their level of importance to the team."

Dave Scott can bore off with his pish. It’s all one-sided no agenda driven from the wee pape from Lisburn who sees himself as the authority on everything as he married a Scottish Protestant

Beggars belief that such a pointless guy gets so much airtime and has so much clout politically

Getting drunk and dropping an FTP should see the guy who dropped it put into compulsory attitude adjustment punishment. Fcuk off!
NBM are completely ridiculous. They should be renamed to the inquisition.

Nothing wrong with his attitude bud.
Some may not like his behaviour but that is a totally different thing.

Its the pope and his ilk that seem to do most of the fecking but in this backwater that appears to attract less attention than a song.

Welcome to Scotland 2018.

AS for NBM its already been proven by a poster on here that they are biased the way they handle identical enquiries that are perceived to be anti catholic as opposed to anti protestant.

Can we see the Inverness player actually utter the words fxxk the Pope? If not then it never happened.

Dave Scott - you are part of the problem with your one sided agenda.

We need an sectarian group that only concentrates on anti Protestant behaviour.

Can someone please explain to me why someone signing Fûck the pope the head of the most disgusting cult is offensive and a dismal way to behave ? .

Do one Dave ya offended Rhat bastard.

We got any players on loan at ICT? No doubt they would get the blame if there was.

"Hello Dave"

Dave Scott saying that person needs their attitudes addressed...

Context is everything though isn't it though?

A group of lads on a their team bus after a few drinks doing it for a laugh is different to someone shouting it aggressively to a group of people on the way to mass, for example.

Welcome back dave how was the holiday?Wank stain on the covers of life.

I still genuinely have no idea why saying f*ck the pope is deemed "sectarian". I really wish someone would just question the people who have a problem with it, ask them to explain what the issue is. The answer "it's sectarian" isn't a proper answer.
