2= Carlo Ancelotti: £998m / Gareth Bale £85.3m
2= Pep Guardiola: £998m / Zlatan Ibrahimovic £57m
4 Manuel Pellegrini: £921m / Cristiano Ronaldo £80m
5 Massimiliano Allegri: £844m / Cristiano Ronaldo £99.2m
6 Arsene Wenger: £767m / Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang £56m
7 Roberto Mancini: £683m / Sergio Aguero £35m
8 Claudio Ranieri: £682.6m / James Rodriguez £38.5m
9 Rafa Benitez: £577m / Gonzalo Higuain £34.5m
10 Unai Emery: £591m / Neymar £200m

The Emery figure is massively inflated by Neymar which he had nothing to do with.
Yeah that’s an interesting point, this can make managers look like they’re mad spenders or have to buy big to win when some transfers have nothing to do with them in regards to price

Wonder where Mccoist is on the list?

Don't want to sound all Jeremy Corbyn, but they are genuinely obscene amounts of money.
Premier League footballers pay over 1 billion pounds in income tax annually.

Like everything else in life, we face both positives and negatives with the inflation of wages and prices in football.

I'd love to see one of that lot managing a Port Vale or a Barnet

Why would they though? They're the best at what they do, so they manage the biggest teams.

Would you expect Tim Cook to go back to managing a middle of the road tech company to prove himself?

Wenger was the shock on that list for me, all that money spent and still never bought a defence.

Modern football I suppose

Anyone who's been at Real likely to end up on the list. it would be good to see an average spend per player as well since Wenger some have been at it a lot longer than others

Scandalous the amount of money that's been spent. But then again if its your team buying a £30-40 millon plus player you think its great. The consequences are higher gate price, higher tv/sky price for the supporters.

Paul Pogba £89.3m. That has to be the biggest waste of money ever.

He has been pish for man utd but will move on and be a player elsewhere. He showed in the world cup how could he can be.

£89 million is a hell of a lot of money but there are bang average players now getting quoted as £50-60 million.

Where does Ferguson come on that list?

Ferguson spent £546m. The ones at the top of that list have been working in the last 6 years since Ferguson retired though, when fees have become ridiculous, so i don't know if it's a fair comparison.
