Aribo out 4-6 weeks

One of the few who has that bit of magic and spark and can just do brilliant things off the cuff.

On his day, a joy to watch and a genuinely creative player who is badly missed.

Going of topic, but can you imagine the lad in a more technical league like La Liga - he'd thrive in that kind of environment.

We are starting guys like Brandon Barker in place of him. We need better. It’s such a downgrade in quality to the side

When did Aribo become irreplaceable? You'd think we're talking about Brian Laudrup here.

Aribo is quality, I love the guy, but where has this sense of panic came from that he's out? He's done well since the season started but when he's out Hagi can come in, Barker has been given a chance and done Ok. Itten or Morelos can go as the Number 9 and Roofe can take up the positions that Aribo does.

Our squad can cope without him.

Gutted. Would’ve been a key player for the old firm in his current form before the injury. We just need players like Hagi and Roofe for example to step up now

We definitely need one, but if Aribo is expected back before November it doesn’t make a lot of sense burdening the wage bill with another body before then.

Of course if the 4-6 weeks is as nebulous as the 7 days were and there’s a chance he might not actually be back until next year . . . . .

We definitely need a central midfielder and a right sided attacker.

That was the case before Aribo’s latest lay off.

Priority now an attacking midfielder. Was hoping something would have popped up in the International break but we have needed some quality in that area for a few seasons now and it's the first position we should have been looking to strengthen.

Is it? Last season he was criticised heavily on here for not doing enough, we needed him to take more responsibility etc etc.

He's had a good start to the season but lets not go mental, our squad can 100% cope without Aribo.

He’s a vital player who is a 100% starter, can the squad cope? We have had Barker step in recently who is nowhere near as effective.

We needed midfielders before Aribo picked up this injury so I don't see what's changed?

Hopefully this speeds up the process as with Aribo out we are a lot weaker.

Every season we lose a key player for a considerable amount of time.

So you were talking about us missing a creative spark. Something that all of the players listed can provide.

I'll just leave you to soak your pants.
Hagi is hot and cold in certain games as we’ve seen. Can’t expect him to shoulder the burden. Regardless, we need a creative midfielder and a wide forward coming in. We can’t keep seeing Barker starting matches

He's a very good player but he hasn't shown he is vital to the starting 11 yet.

He might this season but he hasn't yet.

This is the risk we are playing with such a tight squad and exactly why we needed to get a midfielder in early. We are now with our most potent midfielder for all the europa qualifiers, which, in one off ties, its so important to get goals. Really disappointed

Honestly felt he was our best player in the first 3 or 4 games of the season. Big blow.

Others will need to step up. We have more than enough to beat every other team in the SPFL. If he comes back for the scum game then it's a massive bonus.

Sadly it happens, and not just to us. Every top side will lose players through injury - look at them across the city with Édouard. It's the sign of a title winning team to be able to cope with adversity and setbacks so if we can come through this next 6 week period and still be sitting top then it'll do a lot for the mentality of the squad, and will hopefully help us kick on after Christmas.

Be positive

A lot of nonsensical squawking going on here. 8 weeks in total for tweaked ligaments is par for the course. It's not a season ender, he will be back by the end of October, calm down everyone.

Really unfortunate for the lad and our options!
Still some on here refuse to accept there could be a serious concern with the medical staff we have at Ibrox. Remember we were assured Coulibaly would be out for 4 - 6 weeks. He ended missing for about 4 months. So many others. Helander, Jones Rossiter.

Absolute shit.

The way he started off the season looked like it was going to be a season where he really takes it up a couple of levels.

Our players never hit the ground running after an injury always takes them a while to get back into it whereas other sides players come back seamlessly

I mean this is just absolutely false and incredible hyperbole but crack on.

Would rather have Aribo available of course, and it probably leaves us a bit light in midfield (we were already) but it gives someone else a chance to step up and we move on.

Are we getting to the stage where an ACL tear will initially be described as a 'niggle' by our Club.

This is brutal news.

Shit but not massively surprising.
There surely can't be another major club in world football with a track record as bad as ours regarding injuries

Our past history with injuries would suggest otherwise..
I have my doubts that we'll see him playing before Christmas.
Yip, sickening.

Could be out till Christmas if our recent injury luck is anything to go by

this.

he won’t play before New Year, we’ve seen this movie before.

Guy gets injured 4-week ago and is still 4-6 away.

Players return from surgery quicker ,as much as we don’t want to hear it, he’s got more than a minor standard injury
