The media refusal to call Celtc merely the best of a bad lot

Its been a one-horse League in Scotland for the last 8 years, where ironically the League winners have also been repeatedly horsed in Europe, racking up some of the most if not the worst hammerings ever in European competition for any club from Scotland. Why are the media scared to call Celtc what they've been for 8 years, merely the best of a bad lot ?

Also surprised at how little grief they've received for performances in Europe given the wage bills and turnovers they've posted over the last 10 years.

It's been over a decade since they won a European game after Christmas yet they have a bigger age bill than teams reaching the champions league semi-final in recent years.

Gerrard has probably accomplished more in Europe in two and a half seasons than any yahoo manager over the last decade with a much smaller budget.

The myth that they are a big club in Europe is just that, finishing above Rangers is the only ambition for that club as a whole.
 
Also won't see their European performances slated.

Compare and contrast both to the media during our proper 9 in a row.

However, asking yourself why they won't comment on an obvious elephant in the room is easily explained when you consider the media have avoided reporting on a paedophile ring at the same team for decades.
 
I'm reluctant to describe as the best of anything in any context. Over the last 5/6 years, I would describe them as being not as bad as everyone else. The pumpings they've taken in Europe show that they've normally been utter crap.

Celtc have had no competition in Scotland for nearly a decade, been repeatedly annihilated in Europe, a place where it really counts, as they used to remind us when we were racking up League titles, yet still not one journo has called them merely the best of a bad lot in Scotland during their term of domestic dominance. Cowardice or refusal to accept reality ?
 
The ‘invincibles’ a term coined by the very same media in the knowledge that the filth had ‘rigged the game’, tilted the table to the extent that if their expensively assembled duds couldn’t win by fair means there was always a bent and corrupt official only happy to oblige them.

Honestly if we had remotely the same m/o as the filth I could not support us and would not accept tainted, nay gifted baubles with absolutely no meaning or standing.

The filth in all that the portray, are a monster conceived of the minds of evil men who are prepared to do evil things and evil men and woman who are prepared to acquiesce by their selective and convenient silence.

The filth were indeed the best of an entirely mediocre bunch of hateful little men and women who put their bigotry and hatred of one club above the sanctity and sustainability of the National game and indeed more pig-headedly, that of their very own clubs.

The other things the press will not print or indeed utter in public:

Rangers committed no crime as recognised in the statutes and laws of the land in commission of its business.

The filth are a club with corruption oozing out of its every pore...From soft loans to dodgy land deals to having their stadium tarted up and worst of all the most disgusting and despicable cesspit which was that club and the monstrous crimes committed and covered up over almost sixty years.

For all you scummy cnuts lurking or indeed just looking in, that’s what your in bed with...The ugliest whore of a club in the entirety of sport, a disgusting stain on our country and its national game!

All they did for years and years was turd polish any mentally challenged player and claim they were worth mega millions with numerous clubs interested, this was solely based on performances in the Scottish league as they were getting pumped in Europe

See the one season Frenchman as a perfect example

Now where are all the mega valuations for this Rangers team especially Morelos who’s hit 8 Europa league group stage goals in the last 9 group stage games

Imagine the French penalty taker across the city has that record?

You and I both know the media are cheerleaders for the bheasts from the East.

When we were chasing 10 we were subjected to non stop criticism for being "parochial". They are lauded for "creating history".

This is why we need to employ a researcher. A professional who can gather evidence of the double standards, bias and lies. Produce reports and maybe even a book or two naming and shaming the bigots AND the cowards. Let's expose them and put a stop to their propaganda and the hatred they generate.
 
I genuinely, hand on heart, believe this current Rangers team would wipe the floor with any of their 8.75 in a row sides, including Rodgers. They made hay, scoring at will vs the Kieran/Wilson defence but so could any half decent outfit. For example Sinclair and Roberts looked like the Ronaldo brothers at the time but have did hee-haw since. Dembele hardly a world beater either. In short, a grossly overrated era.

We know that they were loathe to give Rangers credit for anything, mate, but that not even one journo would state the obvious that they've had no competition for almost a decade is embarrassing.

They may not have coined the name "invincibles" for themselves, but have no shame in using it. Even though in the middle of that season there was a 9-0 aggregate hammering in Europe. Invincible right enough eh? :rolleyes:

I do think when we clinch 55 , the journos will suddenly be brave enough to look at the rotting , stinking fetid carcass that will be celticfootballclub and forensically examine the utter failure to bury us once and for all. The european maulings will be gone over, along with the loss of revenues. The recruitment over almost a 10 year period, the conveyor belt of young talent(woops) that should have been brought through while there was no challenge.

Remember though, when we did 9iar, we were told and rightly so imo, we should have been so far over the hill and in front of them, they should never have caught us. Only difference the league was genuinely stronger back then. Aberdeen, hearts, even Motherwell had a go at us ffs while timmy was languishing in mid table, but we saw them all off.

Then they will get into the paedo ring and write great exposes on who knew what and when.

Europe might not be important to them this year but certainly has been the other 9 years and they have failed, majorly failed. If they don't win 10, then those 9 years of failures in Europe will start to get mentioned.

I was thinking this the other day. Walter Smith got castigated for heavy defeats against juve, and the like, in the 90s.
they seem to have got off Scot free TBH! The bigotry and bias in Scotland is repulsive.
Steven Gerrard and his team have pretty much single handedly raise Scotland’s club profile in Europe massively in the past 3 seasons and it’s crickets!

They were a good side under Rodgers. Going unbeaten and winning treble after treble is a good achievement in any league. But now we are a better team.
 
The longer they deny it the better for us, let them keep thinking they are a good team and we can slow coast to title after title

Some of them still sound genuinely perplexed they aren't scudding us 5-0 anymore and running away with the league.

See for all Rodgers was good for them it was the equivalent of using a sledgehammer to crack a nut domestically lets be honest. There is no way that Rangers squad under Warburton were even going to be close to challenging. That 2016/17 season was their utopia really. Their biggest game 4 times a year minimum back in the calendar after years of plodding along in front of a half empty piggery most weeks doing the bare minimum to win the league, now we're back but at a massive disadvantage on and off the park. They talk about Rogic and Dembele as if they were some kind of world beaters, yes and they were up against what exactly? Nothing more than a pale imitation of a Rangers side.

Their european record is atrocious. Regularly seeded with easy draws and haven’t made any impact on CL in 10 years other than getting flattened themselves. Utter embarrassment. To be magnanimous they have top of the range disco lights.

Rogic is a good example. Swanned about with all the time in the world with Law, Holt & co against him but since we got Jack and Kamara in to stiffen us up he hasn’t kicked his arse against us. Ditto Lego, Google eyes and nae neck.

I remember after they were hammered 5-0 at home by PSG (their worst home Euro defeat) it was Chick young who hailed PSG as the best team ever to play a match in Scotland so it was no disgrace for celtc to lose the way they did, etc. PSG then won the return 7-1, almost equaling their worst ever away result - 7-0 to Barca the year before in the middle of their "invincible" run.

IIRC Barca were papped out of the CL at the last 16 round and the following year PSG were also papped out at the last 16.

Rodgers was coming out with how he could take positives from these drubbings

And the scottish media? Nodding and agreeing. Its like Rodgers european results have been airbrushed from history.

I also heard Radio Scotland after they won title 8.75 having a serious debate about which celtc 9 in a row side was better, and incredibly the current mob were being defended!

How difficult is it for one, even just one of the media, to tell the truth regarding almost the last decade of Scottish football. ?

I don’t know how true that is.. I can recall Alex Cameron and Ian Archer amongst others constantly on our backs.

I was at a dinner in 1980 where Campbell Ogilvie was saying to my dad that the club continually reached out to the media but could make no in-roads to change their narrative.
