While the Club has faced a difficult period on the pitch, Celtic Chief Executive Peter Lawwell has reiterated the Club's determination to succeed this season and move forward together.
Peter Lawwell said: "Like all those with Celtic’s best interests at heart, everyone at the Club is feeling the same hurt, disappointment and frustration following the team’s recent results. We are accustomed to winning and, of course, our objective will always be for that to continue. There is no complacency whatsoever.
"Neil, the players and backroom staff, who have already done so much for the Club, share in all of that. They have never been more determined to succeed. Having enjoyed such sustained, unprecedented success, we now need strength in adversity.
"We know that many Celtic supporters share very honest and real concerns and they are being heard by the Club. Every decision taken, both on and off the park, is with the Club’s best interests at heart. This is not about any individual, but about Celtic Football Club as a collective.
"Together we have faced unique difficulties in the early part of the season. While some of these were beyond our control, of course we recognise we must improve. There is a long way to go and everyone at the Club is ready for the challenge.
"Later this month, Celtic will attempt what no other club in the world has achieved – a quadruple treble in domestic competitions. We can best prepare for that and for our other remaining competitions this season by moving forward together, with the sole aim of achieving continued success for the Club."
Not a word about Neic keeping his job that I can see in that statement.

Thats the fat-Japanese telling the one eyed rhattlers to get back in their fvckin box and wind your necks in.

"unique"!? - aye because you're the only club that's had Covid...

Bet the players are gutted reading that statement more than the fans themselves

None of them, or at least very few of them, seem to care about this quadruple treble. If it takes their concentration from the league then that’s fine by me.

I'm stunned they seem to be keeping him, not least because of what it is doing to their relationship with the support. If you were to script their season from our point of view, and were trying to keep it realistic, this is what you would do; Have them in a flat tail-spin, fighting amongst themselves, protests and shark throwing, but keeping the manager in his position.

Looks like he's staying for the time being.

We can't give them a sniff. Football can change pretty quickly so we've got to keep on putting wins on the board.

We won't get a better chance at winning 55' than what we've been given this season.

Only 6 more points can be dropped till then and I’m sure it’ll be piss easy to get a new manager in on the 21st of December for the busy Christmas schedule.
‘He'll win the cup final and it'll be justification to keep him on until the end of the season.

Summer will come and the talk will be that we need a steady pair of hands who knows the club and the city to guide us into this transitional period after losing 10iar and key players like Edouard, Ajer, Jullien and co and that there's no better candidate than Neil Lennon to do this. Continuity is important blah blah.

We'll have an absolute monster draw in the qualifiers by virtue of finishing 2nd so getting pumped won't matter. The board will accept we would've lost anyway so can't blame Lennon there. That'll give him more time.

The Huns will get off to a great start, buoyed by their 20-21 treble and customary pish easy qualifier to cruise through to the group stages, and will invest their new found wealth properly into the team with the intention of absolutely burying us and becoming the dominant force in Scotland.

And you'll be told to shut up and like it as you pay about 700 quid for an overpriced season ticket’

So they have taken the statement well then :p

‘Having enjoyed such sustained, unprecedented success’ got to love the dangled carrot to the hordes to chew on! How about forced your agenda on the weak to remove your obsession , to allow your club no competition for 10 years , to use bullying tactics in every field to gain advantage ‘sporting integrity I believe you called it’ and to force financial issues on every strand of Scottish football for your own tainted gains, to cover up the most vile disgusting child abuse every known in the sporting world, to continually allow the utter deranged support freedom to do as they please without any recourse or comeback on your rancid club! The sooner this disgusting enabler is removed from Scottish football the better. Liewell by name Liewell by nature
