Commonly known as Shuggie. Played in late 70’s IIRC. Think he scored against us in a cup final. I was but a bairn so memory may be a bit shaky.

That was my first Memory of “Big Shuggie” he could play Centre Half or Centre Forward back in the good old days when tackling was allowed, and players wore numbers 1-11

RIP He certainly never came across as being anything other than a footballer plying his trade and did not seem to buy into all the nonsense.

I can still see him thundering towards the Rangers End goal to make it 2-0 to them. Then came the glorious fighback!

There was a technicians strike at the time (there were always some groups on strike back then) and this game wasn't televised.

Big Shuggie wasn't the worst that played for that lot, condolences to his family.
