How is Hibs summer shaping up?

Sold any key players?
Made any decent signings?

They were far closer to Celtic than the pederasts were to us (14 points, compared to 25).

And as things stand at the start of June it is unarguable that Celtic's playing squad is worse than last season, their manager situation is unproven at best and the club as a whole is in free fall.

Disclaimer: I do expect Celtic between now and the end of the transfer window to do enough to ensure they finish 2nd.

But as I look at things as they are today, its far from certain. And with each passing day and week they are left with less and less time to ensure they are at least 2nd best.

Was thinking this myself, but if Hibs hold on to their better players, they might really take 2nd place. They would need to be miles in front of them though, as if it goes to the last day, they'll Hibs it lol.

KDS is absolutely brilliant now.

Loads of them in the manager and board threads now saying their club is being abused and sabotaged by rich Tory businessmen who don’t give a fûck about the club.

Then without a hint of irony they jump into the Sevco thread to slebber a load of shite about how the events of 2012 was supposedly all down Rangers cheating.

If they take the blinkers off and really want to see what a club being sabotaged from within looks like then what happened to us in 2012 is the best example they’ll fined.
 
When you stand back and look at the situation it really would take a miracle for a relative unknown manager to come in and build a team from scratch and overtake a Rangers team who amassed over 100 points last season.



They will lose another 4 maybe 5 players and have to sign at least 10 on a limited budget at the most they will spend about £20/30m depending on what sales they have.




Their fans will still expect instant success which will heap the pressure on and if they lose a couple early on and fans are in ground it will turn poisonous quickly.


Amazing how they have came to this stage considering where they were 2016/17 compared to us.



The qaudruple treble has skewed the reality of their fans who now expect that sort of success every year.



1 trophy less season in 10 years and they will be lucky to sell 20k season tickets.



This has potential to get more and more messy for them and its utterly magnificent to sit back and watch.

Their sevco thread is the comfort blanket for them all where they all laughed at us for a few years but now its all sinister posts about cheating ,masonic referees ,deed clubs and wan trophy.
Aye the wan trophy the bams sang about for 8 years that would finish us meanwhile we are breaking our ribs laughing at them

They don't care. It was all about keeping the foot on the throat of the protestant. This title destroyed them. This year was about them giving it to us large and it was ripped from their mhanky little organs in the most painful way possible. Destroyed by a relentless Rangers team who are led by a true icon of World football. They cannot see it ending. Their only solace was to try and devalue it by taking away the chance to celebrate- but it never worked.

It's all excuses for not renewing. They are absolutely torn to pieces. Get it right up them.
 
It looks like there is some mileage in the Manchester City Group influence, they would hate the thought of being their playthings, which looks unofficial given the links of the last couple of years emerging slowly but surely.

I’ve been working on a long letter to The Board these last few months, to express our concerns over The Board/Lawwell & Desmond’s actions and inactions since 2012 and the liquidation of the first Rangers club; to explain our fears for the future and why those fears were making us reconsider renewing our season tickets. But you know what? We’re just so scunnered now, so sickened by those in charge we can’t be bothered.

I fell out of love with football in the aftermath of the liquidation of the first Rangers club. The brazen corruption of the football authorities in whitewashing 10 years of systemic cheating on an industrial scale, of The 5 Way Agreement, of the ‘same club lie’ and of Celtic’s feeble acquiescence in all this sickened me. I stopped being a football fan and became a Celtic man only, taking solace from knowing we Celtic supporters would have our revenge on Scottish football by dominating the game and maybe even breaking free and leaving it behind. However, thanks to the ridiculous decision to replace Rodgers with Lennon, then the Board's incompetence in refusing to replace Lennon while the season was still salvageable, we're not winning anymore, and I'm asking myself why should I still bother?

Why should I give my hard earned money and emotional commitment when the club is run by such a weak, inept Board that has been ragdolled by a two-bob conman in Dave King? A Board that hides from every challenge to Celtic's reputation and welfare but springs into action when their failed stewardship is being exposed, such as the hasty erection of security fences, Desmond's "entitled yobs" slur, and Lawwell's pathetic attempt at defending the indefensible Dubai jaunt? Why should I bother when they have brazenly lied about trying to attract a quality manager like Eddie Howe, and have turned us into a laughing stock? Why should I bother when Lawwell, his son and the Manchester City Group are dictating Celtic’s future? Why should I bother when they pretend failing to secure 10 In A Row was anything other than a shameful failure? Why should I bother when they have effectively given Rangers a free run to the title next season, before a ball has been kicked? Factor in God-knows how many more months of the chronic Pass To Paradise and Rangers continuing to cheat their way around the Covid regulations that other clubs adhere to without a peep from Celtic and that’s it for me.

There are many more like us, lifelong supporters and season ticket holder who have reached breaking point and will not renew. We have had enough of The Board’s lies, empty promises and sickening emotional blackmail. ‘A Club Built To Last’ doesn’t wilfully mismanage itself from domination to self-destruction. We are not renewing our Season Tickets. If anyone in the Boardroom is remotely interested in how we feel and why, please let them know.

Even at the end of his letter, he admits his concern about next season is giving us a free run at the title.

Their clubs successes are all about what they’ve stopped us from winning. Their clubs failures are all about what they’ve “allowed” us to win. Their obsession and inferiority complex will mean they will take that mentality to their grave.

It must be miserable supporting that rancid club.

They won't hate any link to the City group. They will think they are getting one over on the rest of us by accessing their resources. As long as it doesn't affect their eligibility to European competitions they will see it as a wee helping hand in their objectives.

If any club seriously wants to hire Neil Lennon I'd suggest they check youtube where a fan's question absolutely flummoxed him to the extent the group had their passes to the PC withdrawn. He was exposed as utterly clueless, he had no answers to our glaring on field issues except installing an effing chillout room at Lennoxtown and whisking the team away for a winter sun jolly in the middle of a pandemic. Joker.

Getting some of their younger players on loan probably is a benefit but as we found out with Kent, Ojo and Ejaria it can be relatively hit and miss. I genuinely think us signing Kent only happened because we hired Gerrard, Gerrard got us a Liverpool loan player and Kent loved it here. Ojo and Ejaria are clearly quite talented but for whatever reason they just didn't fancy it as much up here. I know we'd hate to think of ourselves as a feeder club but if we're facing reality, our best players are going to get picked up by English teams that can offer more money and getting an official tie in probably isn't the worst idea.

Don't get me wrong, I think they are screwed. I just don't think their fans have any morals whatsoever where resources come from. I truly believe if they think it's a bit dodgy and they are getting away with something it appeals to them even more.

Essentially, its because we are the most successful team in Scotland and they don't like that. They thought they could steal that from us by nefarious and non sporting means. But they cannot.

This is brilliant.

The most bitter of papes, he isn’t alone, thinks we somehow cheated the system last year with Covid………..it’s almost as if their Dubai debacle and being completely let off with breaking the rules despite photographic evidence just never happened.

We knew they'd descend into madness if we won the title this season, but even we couldn't script this.

The owners absolutely hate their 'fans' and have been perfectly happy to take their money for nothing and laugh at them from overseas, their board have made an absolute howling mess of pretty much everything for the last few years but especially this hilarious mess of trying to appoint a manager (to the extent that they're about to hire someone who literally cannot take the job) before rounding on their 'fans' for not being able to get anything done, their 'legends'/former managers are sticking the boot into the fans for giving their club a "bad name" and calling the 'fans' literally a "different breed" like animals, all their players are desperately trying to slink out the door by any means necessary and finally, their fans have been in open revolt for months and don't know who they hate more: their owners, their board members or each other.

Delightful stuff.

That was the figure at the start of the week. When they had been on sale for a few days to a week? So nearly a full week later you would imagine its significantly north of that. Still poor, sure. But won't still be 11k.

Did they sell the away section as season tickets last season, knowing there’s little chance fans would be in but playing on them going for 10? Now there might be fans in, those seats are unavailable so they’ve bumped some of their fans for £500+ knowing they’d get a dodgy stream and that’s that?

Their board rips the piss right out them.

Might be wrong, but thought that was more about them closing those sections (top tier?) to make way for banners? So those seats now not available as they know they'll be nowhere near a sell out.

To be fair though, I have no real idea - your explanation could be plausible

To be honest I do recall reading something 'over there' to the effect they'd sold seats in the Away section last season and that was forcing moves this season. Not going to go back trawling through looking for it, just want to enjoy their 'New Manager Support' thread LOL.
 
Won't be investing in it financially or emotionally.

I've already switched off from all other football.

It'll be sad that the day will come with Celtic. It takes up so much of my thoughts on any given day, too much probably.

I can't support a decision that is a scandal. A deliberate decision to nobble the club from within. Or else a group determined to prove how much smarter they are than everyone else.

Well, every single decision they made - or failed to make - since summer 2018, has been wrong.

The consequences have ranged from really bad to absolutely catestrophic.

This is more of the latter.

I've no interest in the transfer thread because I've no plans to watch us.

Winning isn't everything for me, not if we've done our best in the trying.

I've never bought into the board's i.e Lawwell's policy never to build a team and his imposition of a low glass ceiling for our ambitions. It was such a wasted opportunity.

This though is a disgraceful act by a crowd of unconscionable villains.

The club is walking off a cliff. Sure, we might find sunken treasure at the bottom of the sea, but with wiser heads prevailing we would have stayed on dry land. A whole world of options were available but this is what we chose. Insane.
