Murdo Fraser - a lone voice

He's a Rangers supporter and doesn't try to hide it.
There's no pretence about it.

Are you sure you're not just annoyed because it's a Tory sticking up for us?
The sad truth is it's only ever Tories who speak for us, and the Tories will be unelectable in Scotland for a very long time as there are just too many Scots who will never vote for them under any circumstances.

It makes the narrative as Tory = Rangers = Unionist and massively marginalises Rangers fans. There should be loads of Labour and Lib Dem politicians who are also anti separation who speak up for the blatant double standards, but it would seem they are more afraid of being on the side of Tories and Rangers than they are on being right.

Sad, but unfortunately very true mate.

In the bitter and twisted backwater of Scotland, Rangers are politically stranded.

It's a very sorry state of affairs and one which shows absolutely no signs of improving.

The double standards was also called out Scotland Tonight last night.

John McKay prompted one of the panellists about double standards regarding the TA's visit to London and the guy basically said "I'm a Rangers fan and find it ridiculous the lack of condemnation from Nicola Sturgeon and Humsa Useless, you can't line up to condemn one, but then have zero comment about the other"

Can't stand Murdo Fraser. He's a headline chaser who doesn't follow things up. An opportunist who's only interested in pretending to be on our side to secure votes.
Politicians depend on votes to be in power so Murdo Fraser's stance here is welcome. He is highlighting the obvious double-standards despite what it could mean in terms of votes for him by going against the Scotland supporters.

Yet working class areas in England, like Hartlepool, have absolutely no problem voting Tory, despite it having been a Labour stronghold since the 1950s.

You really have to question the mentality of some people up here.

You'll wait a long time before any Scottish Labour MSP speaks up for Rangers, sadly.

In the recently published book, Just Champion, Murdo Fraser is a contributor.
No one, who has read what he has written will be left in any doubt, that Fraser has been a supporter of the club for many years, beginning back in the 1970’s
as a teenager, who at that time, lived at Inverness.

This is probably a massive whoosh moment on my part, but is Sarwar a bear?
Only from what I picked up on the election threads, seemingly a good guy, posters had been to games with him. Another one who is a politician above anything else, where as the rest of us are family and Rangers 1st/2nd with those 2 often intertwined. Was it King who said there are fans and supporters but I'd say Sarwar is neither

A starting point would be peaceful protests highlighting the inadequacies of the snp, no flags just banners and placards with statements on them .Things would surely evolve from there

Most of Scotland still remember Thatcher, this where Douglas Ross has to start to change this mindset and have strong opposition to the SNP, too many times DR agreed with wee Jimmy Crankie Sturgeon that has to stop.
The Tory Party in Scotland has to fully support Brexit and Boris Johnston........

So what's the difference between working class areas in England and Scotland?

They were all under the same Thatcher led Conservative government, yet it doesn't stop the English areas voting Tory now.

For the record, Ross polled more at the last election than Davidson did at the previous one.

He also increased the gap between Tory and Labour, despite the fanfare surrounding Sarwar's leadership.

If every bear in Scotland voted conservative we could overthrow the SNP. Any bear voting Lib Dem’s , labour or any other party is basically giving the SNP a vote , a party who have got to the point of open hatred of the club we love . People seem to forget the conservatives gained the second most votes of any party in Scotland .

I don’t know if he follows things up ot not, but he does have a point on this. As for chasing votes it’s not really worked for him so far, 10? elections and never won yet.

When the national Socialist party have the media and the law dancing to their tune in this country all he can do is make some noise, until our own stop voting for the separatists nothing will change, our only hope is they self combust when they realise nicoliar has duped them again with her grand old Duke of York party piece.

John Swinney says “ it’s regrettable”

Just regrettable, bigotry, racism, xenophobia, scummy fans acting like animals is “just regrettable”

translation; it’s England’s problem not ours

bunch of c*nts
That's the SNP go to answer on that question as that was the answer when asked on the Sunday show to a Government minister.

The Scottish Government should be asking the same questions of the SFA as they did of our club. Why didn't Steve Clarke come out publicly and ask the fans not to gather, who didn't the association do more to communicate with and influence the fans? The SFA didn't do enough to discourage any of the vile behaviour seen in Leicester Square and streets of London. They haven't condemned bigotry , racism , violence all caught on camera by yhe tartan army. The double standards are laughable. It really is a joke....

Have to disagree there, he is the only politician in Scotland that sticks up for our club and our supporters. Ok maybe he doesn't take the levels we would like, but at least he tries to bring it to the public domain. Can't think of any other politician that fights our corner in any shape or form?
