The ancient Greeks gave the filth Hubris.

The modern Greeks have given them Barkas.

The bottom line is. They might still go through, but the heat, while they will be trying to hold their peace so early into the Flange era, is already on.

If they are eliminated after the next tie, the simmer will be getting that little bit nearing bubbling over that lid.

It's nice but let's all look after ourselves first and foremost.

They won’t get away with Barkas in goals and playing out from the back. Bigger European teams and probably most SPFL teams will let them have the ball there until they %^*& it up and get caught on a counter.

I don’t know if it’s his game plan to leave the wide areas so exposed or just their players are generally shite but try that against us and it’ll be a cricket score.

We play our wingbacks high but always have a Jack or Kamara in position to cover, they had no-one. Soro ran about the pitch kicking anything that moved and McGregor clearly doesn’t fancy the defensive side of the midfield role. It’s frightening how naive a set up it is and if Midtjylland were a bit more careful with their final balls then the tie would’ve been over.

It's been a great night on FF with Ra Hoops determined to drag The Bhanter Year into next season and with The Possum Pep looking like a hapless idiot.

Hooking their only player of genuine quality - Abada - after Bitton got red-carded - is straight from the Lennon playbook. This is the same tactic that Lennon used after Bitton (again) got sent off after his rugby tackle of Alfie in January and he replaced The Groomer with The Dublin Donkey. That worked well for them.

So the big dud from down under so far…

1. no idea the draw for the qualifiers was being made
2. never had ambition to manage in CL (likely as didn’t know it was even a thing)
3. first time in the biggest club competition on the planet thinks you get 3 points for a win in a two leg knockout tie

This guy is pure gold

Will they not still need to qualify if they get through and lose to PSV / Galatasaray? I was under the impression only teams losing in the playoffs parachute into Europa group stage.

I think it's more than likely the Aussie will take time to fail-they have good players within their squad-they will spend and the competition in Scotland is such that I personally think a repeat of last year is unlikely in terms of points dropped so consistently after a decent start.
Even Pedro after a nightmare start in Europe had enough quality kicking about to stutter along even though anyone with half a football brain knew he was beyond clueless.

It will take some real inability for the Aussie to spend as badly as Pedro did but who knows. He doesn't look to me anything other than a fish out of water but it will take time to level out-their support are more focused on the board than him so that will help him.

We stay steady and get even close to last season's performances there should be a gap they can't bridge.

Imagine the pelters Pedro would’ve taken he would’ve been mocked all roads I suspect Angie will get more favourable press from Peters poodles.
 
That’s the first time I’ve seen them under Postecoglou and they weren’t half as bad as I was expecting from the now cut thread. Had folk in there expecting them to lose by 3 tonight. That said, neither team for me was overly strong. Their Israeli signing looked decent till he was hooked I thought. Hope they go out next week but I’ll be very surprised if they don’t win next week (if they keep 11 on the pitch).
