Rangers have made our own flag for Sunday

So says Andy Devlin

No Cinch. No Doncaster. No MacLennan.

Well done the Rangers.

NEIL DONCASTER and Murdo MacLennan will NOT be at Ibrox when Rangers unfurl the Premiership flag.

And SunSport understands Gers have commissioned their own special standard to mark the occasion — one which WON'T carry the name of league sponsors cinch.

Ibrox chiefs sparked fury among the league’s governing body when they refused to advertise the car dealer in their opening Premiership game against Livingston.

cinch penned a record deal with the SPFL worth around £1.6million per season.

However, Rangers argue they don’t have to honour aspects of the contract if they will negatively impact their own pre-existing sponsorship deals.

A bitter row has been simmering ever since — with the SPFL asking the SFA to intervene.

The stand-off has led to growing fears cinch could back out because one of the biggest clubs in the country is refusing to promote their brand.

Now we can reveal the SPFL chief executive and chairman won’t be present at the clash with Motherwell as Rangers chairman Douglas Park prepares to lead the celebrations.

I made the OP but to add.

There’s an element of satisfaction that the day is marked with a collective two fingers to the people that forcibly ejected us from their league without any sporting rule or available sanction in their favour.

9 long years we waited everyone. Never forget what they did and what they stole from every one of us. Never forget just how spectacular our answer was in season 20/21.

"One of the biggest clubs in the country" ?

FFS !

The roundabouts getting busier, nice.

Keep everything on the right side of the rules and we should have nothing to fear. Well, anywhere other than Scottish football we should have nothing to fear.

No mention of the rule Andy, tut, tut. There’s nothing needed to argue.

Good

Cinch would not be on the flag as they were not sponsors last season. But I understand the champion club is allowed to design its own flag. Rangers championship flags have always been the Saltire. Other clubs have different designs.
What different designs have there been?

It doesn't surprise me that we've had to. SPL and SPFL are relatively new organisations. That doesn't change much to be honest as things have been going awry since Willie Allen, followed by Walker and Farry etc. If you know you know right?

Well done for not displaying the logo, happy about that.
“flag day” is an irrelevance though. Should’ve been done first game and out the way. Its now what? 4 months later?

Just don’t get the need for it

I love this bit:
"Now we can reveal the SPFL chief executive and chairman won’t be present at the clash with Motherwell as Rangers chairman Douglas Park prepares to lead the celebrations."

As if those two feckers would have the gall to turn up anyway.

I hope we've replicated the size and design of the flag that flew over the Derry Shed in bygone days of yore.

I get it

I agree with it

but I’m utterly sick of the constant battling.
Well you'd better get used to it as they play the long game ,just like their shinner masters .
There will be no conclusion so the battle will remain constant unless the scottish people wake up and elect proper reps.
Until then it will be a constant onslaught on all things pro British, namely Rangers fc and their support .
