“The Hummel Training Centre” no more?

Anyone else heard we are in initial talks with le coq Sportif for next season ? A quick google search shows they do a few niche clubs like fiorentina , st etienne but not many .

Loved their 80s spurs and villa kits but no idea what they are like nowadays .

For the record not ITK in any way just passing on something I was told just there by someone with a decent contact . May well be bollocks but who knows .
It's a Sports Direct brand and i'm sure Ashley has a stake in it.

What happens if we don’t get a kit deal / retailer for next season?
Would it make much difference ? We have hardly had a penny from retail sales.

Other thing that concerns me is the club actually advertising for a new sponsor/retail partner, don't ever remember the club having to do this.

What also happens if someone shows interest and we end up in the same scenario with Ashley regards someone dealing with our retail and taking the club to court, the way things are looking nobody will touch us with a barge pole because of everything that's went on and still going on through the courts, If none of either Nike or Adidas step forward then any other company and Ashley will just match the deal and we'll just go round in circles once again.

There is absolutely no point in Ashley matching any deal because if that was the case nobody would buy anything from him and all he is doing is damaging our brand by being involved and affecting our finances substantially

Since he has been involved all that's resulted is boycotts against him and his company and litigation through the courts which has went on for years, how a judge just can't see that both party's can't work with each other and continues all this rather than just telling Ashley to do one is bizarre given the money we have lost through his involvement, he does nothing positive for the club or our fan base.

They ain't advertising for one mate. It's not like the important employees at the companies are scrolling through twitter and go "ah rangers are looking for a kit manufacturer".

The announcement was one of two things
1) telling supporters we wont be with hummel or elite next year (and possibly read between the lines things arent well with this relationship

or

2) it's part of a process we are going through RE the sports direct case, so that we can reference to it at a later date in court.

If we have no kit sponsor in place then we'll be wearing the same strip we are wearing just now when the new season starts, Even if we had one in place right now there wouldn't be time to design, manufacture and get them on the shelves by August, which means yet another year which will see us lose large sums of income.

Humiliating if true . How can we continue to wear a himmel kit if we are no longer with them at the start of next season ?

This is the reality of the club fighting a dirty vindictive bastard who has zero interest of maintaining a mutually beneficial retail partnership - but will mire us in litigation in order to prevent us from progressing. It will drag on for years yet. Thank Christ he was not able to get his sweaty pie-greased mitts on the stadium deeds.

Would imagine that will be the case, takes several months from concept to the shelves for new strips, Can't believe that 8yrs on from admin we're still going through all this shit, one thing i have learned in all those years that being a Gers supporter isn't good for your health.

Ashley has absolutely nothing to gain by being involved with us, none of us buy anything, his stores are boycotted and it comes across because nobody likes him or had a decent word to say about him, that he's just digging his heels in to %^*& us at every turn and in doing so depriving us of much needed revenue from our retail and nothing more than assisting the mankies to ten in a row by standing on our throats and making our brand toxic to anyone and if any interested party was to show interest, they would soon be put off knowing they may have all this same shite with Ashley.

How a court can't see what he's doing to us financially and plenty of evidence our support won't spent a penny in his stores is bizarre, you would be maybe correct to think there was a more sinister motive as to why he is still trying to get his foot in the door when he knows nobody will spend a penny while he is around, I really don't think this is anything to do with business deals and more to do with a sick twisted form of revenge to suck the life from us and continue dragging us through courts at every oportunity, no other reason why he's still hanging around.

Although we don't know the details, I think Hummel are being short-sighted here.

The scale and the exposure associated with landing a tier one contract like Rangers must have been a good thing for them.

Their legal advice might have been that we're not worth the hassle but I think they're missing a trick.

They really could have established a long and profitable relationship with Rangers.

It's not really clear what has happened, so we're all speculating but knowing how Ashley operates i think he's gone to Hummel and given them the opportunity to get in bed with Sports Direct.

The revenue they can generate from partnering with Sports Direct will dwarf what they make from Rangers.

He's turned their heads and also conveniently made it clear to them how they should manage their relationship with us.

It's classic Ashley. And we need to realise that whoever we partner with in the future, Macron, New Balance, whoever, will see either their business seriously impacted by Sports Direct or will see an incentive to be part of Sports Direct. His aim will be to destroy us like he was with JJB Sports and Dave Whelan.

We either need to hope his anger is directed more at Dave King and will calm when he leaves, if not, we need a right bastard prepared for the ongoing battle that won't be going away soon.
