One thing proven with @dh1963 's article, January is not a good time to sign players!

In fairness, a few shrewd moves from McLeish, Sir Walter and Gerrard but a few names that leave you thinking wtf!

January 2015 still give me shudders.

I genuinely have no recollection of this name in 2007 - Adda Djeziri (BK Frem) loan - a quick look at Wiki shows fans of many clubs may feel the same

I know I’m getting on a bit but there are names in that list that I have no idea who they are.
In saying that Walter knew what was needed, didn’t he. Davie Weir played a lot more than I realised, and although I wasn’t impressed by his leaving with Warburton, he was the last great defender we had.

I don't think even Adda Djeziri remembers him playing for Rangers!
