From the highs of Thursday to the lows of Sunday I take a look back at our last two fixtures and try to work out where all of it leaves us now...

"Having had an opportunity to deliver the league cup in December the Scottish Cup must now become an absolute priority for Gerrard. Winning it will prove to the fans that the management team and players not only have the ability but also the desire, attitude and belief to succeed. Failure to win will leave us with more questions than answers."

Walking Down the Copland Road

We need to swallow our pride and say hats off to Celtic who are in quite unbelievable form.

Yes, our results have dipped.
Yes, refereeing decisions has cost us big time.

But Lennon is operating at an 81% win rate in his current spell as Celtic manager.

They've had lady luck on their side but in the cold light of day, we've had a pretty decent season too so far. What we can't allow is the mass hysteria in our fanbase get to the players as that will have dire consequences for all of us and the wheels could come off completely.

As Mr Struth once said....

quote-never-fear-inevitably-we-shall-have-our-years-of-failure-and-when-they-arrive-we-must-bill-struth-120-33-26.jpg

That won't be popular on here but it's a very important point. Lennon has done much, much better than the vast majority of us expected him to do. However our inability to apply any kind of real pressure on him and his team has made the job easier than it should be.

It has to be said Lennon and his team are treated very leniently by refs, SFA etc, in fact one ref in particular, Clancy has actively helped his team when struggling. Add a compliant media who stick the boot into us when we put pressure on them and who pressure any ref who God forbid gives the bheasts opposition the benefit of a 50/50 decision it all adds up to an overwhelming task to win the league.
We DID put pressure on them this season but until off the park issues are addressed and restructure in the governing bodies it will be very difficult to win the league, at the moment we won’t be allowed to win.

Just as it was preordained by the governing bodies that we were never winning the league cup against the filth. Pretty obvious there was an agenda that day, despite how well we played. Just two more trophies to deny and they have well and truly put the cat in the hen-house by applying pressure on Gerrard and dividing our fanbase.

Let's not forget the league cup as a wee gift from our unbiased officials ?

Yes there goal was offside but we missed a penalty and didn’t create another chance against 10 men.

Corrupt/terrible officiating or not we should have won that game but we didn’t take our chances. For that we can only blame ourselves.
