Has there ever been a more universally loved player? I've heard people say they can't stand Messi or Ronaldo or whoever, don't think I've ever heard anyone say a bad word about Iniesta; even the away fans loved and applauded him when he played for Barca all over Spain.

Part of the reason I'm a huge fan of Foden is how much he reminds me in style of Iniesta.

For me he was the third best player in the world for a number of years and at times above Ronaldo in 2nd.

Because online engagement has reduced most discussions to two angry people screaming at each other and you seem to have to take binary positions on anything? I think he means in terms of being almost universally popular.

I preferred Xavi. I like Iniesta, and appreciate what an absolute baller he was. He was the perfect example of total football. He rarely lost the ball, and won it back without wild tackles, just applied pressure and harassed his opponent.
