Nearly every surface in the SPL is a fucking mess. Just Dundee's is in a real fucking mess.

Look at the state of Countys pitch at the weekend. It was cut up to %^*& all over the place. It was certainly not in a position to play quick on the deck football and the wind made it difficult to play more direct football. Difference is RC adapted better to it than us.

The last game we played at St Johnstone, the pitch was as bad as Countys at the weekend and I don't expect it will have improved since.

Very few clubs put any effort into their playing surface.

Largely because encouraging good football is not really a thing in Scotland.

The philosophy is to charge about the park, hoofing the ball all over the place and getting stuck into opposition players using as much physicality as possible.

A decent playing surface is almost the last thing on a clubs mind, when it should in fact be a high priority.

Which is completely and utter ridiculous. Yet these clubs and their supporters wonder why our game doesn't develop or progress in anyway. Shambolic.
