He was a good player, and you could see he'd go on to have a good career.

I wouldn't say shitebag but it seemed pretty apparent that he didn't fancy it in his second season. He was great during the treble year though.

I’m looking forward to welcoming him back to Ibrox in July but it got me thinking today about his contribution as a player.

Obviously he will always have a place in our history for that goal but his phoning it in the season after and all the home sickness chaff did leave a sour taste.

What are your thoughts?

I thought he was a decent player who progressed nicely and you could see he had bags of potential. The fact he left saying he was homesick then went to England really annoyed me though. If he'd just gone down south without all the nonsense I wouldn't have minded that much.
