BBC Scotland's Only An Excuse

The high water mark for me was around 94/95 when they did a stage show. Roper and Watson just stood at a lectern and went for it. They recorded a video and they had a lot of football folk in the crowd. It was hilarious. After Roper left it went downhill very quickly

Think Roper was the talent and he had loads of other things on the go.

I find it ironic when people talk about how bad it is now when hysterical overreactions to sketches by fans are one of the reasons it lost all its bite.

Shouldn't this have been posted at the same time it has been for the last ten years or so, about Dec 30th?
Every year it's the same discussion with the same derisory comments but it appears that everyone tunes into it apparently only to come on here later to complain how shite it was!
 ;)

Might actually have been Phil Differ.
The audio was brilliant. early days of video were also really good. Sadly writing talent went downhill but was exacerbated by the lack of character in the game. How many footballers could you recognise never mind interpret personality these days?
Maybe they could have a go at Liewell and his evasion of child abuse?
