This is a bit random, but I'm sure FF will, as always, provide the answer. Why did Olympiacos change the spelling from 'k" to "c"? Yours curiously.
Did they actually change it officially or was it just that the British media always spelt it incorrectly ? My money is on the latter. This is a bit random, but I'm sure FF will, as always, provide the answer. Why did Olympiacos change the spelling from 'k" to "c"? Yours curiously.
This must be the explanation. The Greeks have a different alphabet. So both English spellings are actually transliterations. There is no letter C in the Greek alphabet as such. The club crest has the Greek letter K on it.
