Match Thread Celtic v Rangers - 12:30 Saturday - Sky Sports

Until James Tavernier leaves our club we deserve everything we get.
He should be played in an attacking position and stripped of the captaincy as he's not a warrior, a leader of men, not a captain, he's not a good defender either.

Bit theirs way, way, way worse than Tav at our club at the moment

Very proud of the battle the team put up second half.

Yes, I'm very proud of these players losing another derby and hence, another title.

The culture of failure extends well beyond the dressing room and into the stands. All of these Banter Years freaks who excused season after season of the same mistakes with "Look where we were in 2013!" cost us more than we knew.

If anyone is genuinely proud - proud? - today then they are part of the problem.

Clement will be getting a lot of heat, which is natural if you aren't winning, but people need to apply perspective here.

The squad already wasn't near good enough, then that gets multiplied by the inexplicable injuries.

Can only hope this summer rebuild is finally the one where we actually bring quality players in and give Clement a real chance to do something.

My faith in Clement has been dented over the past two months. Same weak midfield. Same tactics and watching them carrying the ball unchallenged through the length of the pitch for large parts of the match.

If Raskin had the last two sub appearances to offer, why on earth have we not used him? Even without him, the midfield selection was weak and wrong.

We’ve handed this to a very poor Celtic team. Sickening.
Hahaha.
Faith dented. Deary me.
It's not as if we gave Rodri and Busquets sitting on the bench.

I am just shy of 61 years old, 17 stone, with knackered knees, and crap at football .
Yet, I would still have made a better contribution to the game today than half of our team today.

Butland and Silva only pass marks. Sterling not bad in defence. Davies done well to get through 90 mins.

Lundstram shouldn't kick another ball for us.
Big changes required. Old guard need punted.

As usual plucky Rangers at the end.
We had them on the ropes again but when you are bringing on wright and Roofe you know you are hoping for a miracle.
Plucky without making a chance.
Chance after chance to be more direct but no we even shat the last chance saloon scenario.

The less poor team wins the league, injuries certainly haven’t helped us though. Lundstram had the definition of a nightmare out there and it cost us badly today.

Lundstram should be hanging his head in shame. Totally cost us with that sending off

For all his service, we don’t get better till Tavernier (and Lundstrum and Goldson) leaves. He is not a winner and that is what we need in tight games like this. Sterling and Butland only ones with heart

Proud today. We were brilliant second half. Build a team around Sterling. Get Lundstram to f uck
lol …the only difference from just about all the other games their was our quick goal after their second. Otherwise it was like a blueprint of just about every game we play there. Celtic get their usual two goals in the first half (but for Butland it could have been 4) …then all of a sudden we see us playing a bit of footie as the tims have ‘declared’ in the second half.

Honestly people were saying this exact script with us looking good in the 2nd half before a ball was kicked today.

Disappointing. Crazy from Lundstram, poor decision making and self belief from too many and all too late to realise we're better than them and go and attack.

Head the ball Silva, fucking volley it MacCausland. Jesus.

2-1 flatters them and we'll be a totally different beast next season. Go and win the cup final at least. Celtic are utter pish.

Maybe you should read my post. Our midfield was better with 10 men and without Lundstrum than it was with him.

I say that as someone who has defended him all season and well aware that we aren’t flush with options.

It was still poor tactically and they marched through us constantly.

They are shite and we did nothing. Practically begging us to equalise but we just can't. Hopeless.

Sterling immense second half. Raskin and Ridvan very good too, particularly Raskin. We are a far better team with those two in over Lundstram and Barisic.

Not kicking our arse in these games until we're 2-0 down is embarrassing. It's every single time and it's the usual faces doing their best to beat the others to handing a goal over.

Just scunnered with this mob yet again. Bring on the summer and get a mass clearout because it's badly required and has been for some time.

Rangers are to blame for this - Ross County and Dundee. At the same time, we sacked a manager this year and then had a go so, despite the hype, those ***s are not that good

That squad have let down two managers already yes those manager had their own faults to but we not need a massive clear out and to let the manager build his own squad then judge him.

He isn’t an attacker, he was a very good attacking fullback but he can’t do it now. We’ve worn the guy out but we can’t play on sympathy,he’s costing us far too much.

Played in an attacking position you say,ffs no wonder were a mess

It wasnt enough for Lundstram to score one of the worst OGs in club history, he had to follow it up with an oafish, reckless challenge. That was game over. We still look like a club that plays terrified every time in an OF game and with 10 men we were completely neutered.
